I apologize if I am posting in the wrong forum I use Cox Cable as my ISP and I have an always on connection via a Motorola SB5120 cable modem. My home network consists of 3 Vista computers (2 on Ultimate and one on Home Premium), one XP Pro computer and one Windows 2000 Pro computer. Vista computers are wired ethernet and the other two are wireless to a Linksys WRT54GS router. All computers are up to date with patches and updates and all have Zone Alarm Pro running on them. Until about a week ago all the computers were working flawlessly on the network and I could move files between any two computer combinations. A few days ago I attempted to move some files from my primary Vista computer to the Win. 2000 machine but found that they didn't see one another. Next I tried to see if I could connect across the 3 Vista computers. For simplicity I will call the three computers A, B and C. Computer A is my primary computer (Vista Ultimate), Computer B is my secondary computer (Vista Ultimate)and computer C is my wife's computer (Vista Home). I found that I can see computers B and C from A, I can ping them by name or IP address but I can't open their shares in Explorer. However, from either B or C I can see and open files on A and on each other. I have checked and rechecked the setup on A but nothing I have done seems to have an effect on its operation.
