Image via Wikipedia Over the years, I have heard stories regarding witnesses seeing a UFO hovering above the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in the Ukraine in 1986. Not only that, but those stories often relate how witnesses report that the UFO acted to save much of Europe by interfering with the nuke disaster. I recently did a little digging and found that there is something to this story. The 2002 article below from Pravda states how hundreds of people saw a UFO hover above the disaster and that "....then, we saw two rays of crimson light stretching towards the fourth unit. The object was some 300 meters from the reactor. The event lasted for about three minutes. The lights of the object went out and it flew away in the northwestern direction. The UFO brought the radiation level down. The level was decreased almost four times. This probably prevented a nuclear blast....." Pravda hasn't always been that reliable. So, if anyone has any other information regarding the possible UFO over Chernobyl incident I would love to know about.
