CALGARY _ Crescent Point Energy Corp. says its expects its 2009 production to average the equivalent of 42,000 barrels of oil per day, and expects to end the year producing more than 44,500 boe/d following a series of asset purchases and sales.The company, which has converted from an income trust into a dividend-paying corporation, said Friday it expects its funds from operations in 2009 will be $613 million _ based on various production, price and currency assumptions.It also estimates its 2009 capital expenditures will be $225 million.Friday`s announcement came as Crescent Point completed the acquisition of Gibraltar Exploration Ltd., which followed a combination of the Crescent Point Energy trust with Wild River Resources Ltd. that was completed Thursday.The company also announced Friday the sale of 25 per cent of the assets held by Wild River Resources Ltd. and 25 per cent of the assets acquired from Gibraltar to Shelter Bay Energy for an undisclosed amount of cash.Crescent Point has made a number of moves recently to consolidate its holdings, including a $360-million purchase of producing assets, undeveloped land and mineral rights in Saskatchewan from Talisman Energy Corp. The combined company will retain the Energy Fuels Inc, name and trading symbol; along with Cdn$13.5 million in cash. The two companies now have combined measured and indicated U 3 O 8 assets of 4.1 million pounds, two permitted conventional uranium mines on the Colorado Plateau and an implemented plan to build a 1,000tpd uranium milling complex now in the permitting stage. The new company will also have 55,000 acres of uranium properties in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Idaho and New Mexico, including three properties near Cameco's Smith Patch ISL mine in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. In addition, the company will have 50,000 acres of exploration properties in the Athabasca Basin located northwest of the McClean Lake and Rabbit Lake uranium mines. In a news release Thursday, Energy Fuels said the all-share transaction provides the company "with significantly more resource to develop for mill feed at the company's Piñon Ridge mill, and more cash to develop the mills and mines." "Additionally, the company now has a Wyoming ISR property with exciting potential and is a partner in an exploration project in Canada's Athabasca Basin," Energy Fuels said. Antrim Energy Inc (TSX:AEN, AIM:AEY) said it was notified by the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) that it has been offered Block 21/24b in the UK North Sea as part of the 25th seaward licencing round. The block, which was awarded to Antrim on a 100 percent working interest basis, is in the company's core area around the Fyne field in the central North Sea. As announced in November 2008, Antrim was previously awarded five blocks in the 25th Round, three of which are in the Fyne area. Block 21/24b is approximately 10 kilometers northeast of the Fyne Field, and immediately adjacent to the Teal and South Teal fields to the east, the Clapham and Guillemot Northwest fields to the south and the Pict Field to the west. These fields all produce from either the Eocene Tay or the Upper Jurassic Fulmar Sandstones, and Block 21/24b is viewed to have potential in both of these formations.
