As a comedian, Richards leaves fellow cynics screaming for more. And as a cancer survivor, he proves that a full-throttle sense of humor can make even the most dire days a laughing matter. Whether to a packed house of hundreds, or a handful in a hospital ward, Richards rakes in the laughter with tales about his mom's dog; dating an exotic dancer; exercise; Computers; and life on the road. And that's just the beginning. Derek's comedy comes from the heart as he talks of being born Irish and adopted by parents that were of Polish/Russian descent (Dad) and French/German heritage (Mom). As the son of a Ford Motor Company electrician, he weaves in hilarious tales of his blue collar upbringing. A Detroit native, who entered comedy after being kicked off the air at a radio station -- the guy IS edgy -- Richards' act is fast, fresh and, at times, fanatical. A regular on Armed Forces Entertainment Tours, Richards was featured in Newsweek, “Not Quite Prime Time,” for taking part in one of the first comedy shows (post 9/11) at Camp X-Ray, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. His most recent military tour took him to Iraq, Kuwait, Djibouti, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. You can catch him at the Boston, Calgary and Las Vegas Comedy Festivals . His two live CD's, "Sensitivity Training" and "Who's Your Daddy?" are sold at his shows. ...

I finally got skype working. honestly don't know how. It makes no sense. because I haven't done anything actually. Longtime ago I had bought a linksys Skype phone from Mall of Emirates. I tried to make it work but it didn't. because we have a central router at home which our 5 Computers connect through it to the net. but after I bought the MacBook Air and the new server plus the new iPhone and so and so, Now I have 6 devices which are connected to internet (in a single room), so I had to find out a new way to connect to the internet. And guess what, I bought the new Belkin Router, The one which has a very good and informative LCD, the beautiful one, hahaha, and I'm really enjoying it. It seems it has a different IP range and I easily configured the Skype phone to connect. and guess what it just started working. I tried it by calling my relatives in UK and USA. It was really working in UAE. I haven't done any trick to make it work. It's just working like that. Even my skype line is working. The voice mail is working. everything works fine and I'm just happy. My first guess is because it's a standalone skype client, that's why it's not blocked by the proxy. ...
