There is something haunting about the posable wooden human figures designed for artists. The head a smooth blank mask; expressionless and sexless, the human body reduced to its geometric essence. Wow, where to even begin? Episode 5 of Qore is now available, with its main selling point being exclusive access to the demo of Valkyria Chronicles . But there's more in the way of playable games than just that; there are three new PS3 titles available for purchase: Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords ($15), Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars ($15), and Linger in Shadows ($3). Puzzle Quest has been talked about more than enough in the past, but Battle Cars and Linger in Shadows are both relatively unknown. The latter is extremely difficult to describe , but don't think of it as a game in the traditional sense (though it does have Trophies!). Battle Cars, on the other hand, is essentially soccer with rocket-powered cars. PSP owners can also find a pair of new downloadable games, both of which are UMD Legacy titles: Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow ($25) and Guilty Gear Judgement ($6). Both are solid games, although it wouldn't be hard to make the argument that Syphon Filter is a tad overpriced for a year-old PSP game. PSP owners of Echochrome on PSP can find an expansion pack with 40 new levels for $5. There's also a pair of themes and a new video to download, as well. Back on PS3, there are demos of both Warhawk and the aforementioned Battle Cars, and downloadable content for Rock Band , Civilization Revolution , Super Stardust HD (nothing new, it's merely older DLC being bundled for a discount), FIFA 09 , Mega Man 9 , D ... It’s being reported that the PSP 3000, or PSP Brite, is now available in the US and Europe. The package comes as a bundle with a silver PSP Brite, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, National Treasure 2 (movie in UMD format), a 1 GB memory stick and an Echochrome online voucher, all for the intriguing price of $199.99. The other bundle - the black version with a 4 GB memory stick - is apparently only out next month. 現在是旅程的第六次等飛機。 終於在維也納機場等待回香港的班機這十二個小時（！）中找到時間的空隙來貼文。 從到 Ars Electronica 的展覽開始就好像一直沒閒停下來。怱怱忙忙的又去了 Croatia 的 Split Film Festival。由 Linz 到 Croatia 的 Split，由 Split 最後一天的早上四點到 Zagreb 再到 Vienna，渴睡的程度到了極致的時間，來為這次歐洲展覽之施作個小的可憐的總結。 有說這次的 Ars Electronica 的獎項有個啓示：三件作品含遊戲成份：我的Moving Mario，Julian Oliver的 LevelHead 和藤 木淳的 Extended Cognitive System。真正的遊戲該是 Extended Cognition System的發展版本，連 Sony Entertainment 都為這個作品推出了 PSP 遊戲 Echochrome。 這倒是一個有趣的發現，我不知道這代表了甚麼。但盡管三件作品都有遊戲的成，可是卻是三個很不同的呈現方式和概念在背後運作。在 Ars Electronica 的 Cyber Arts 當中有「藝評／電玩評」把我們三個作品放在一起談。(我不得不用引號因為他的身份是電玩編輯，但在其網頁中又加了 “art” 這個標籤) 最有趣的是他評論的思維方向：以一個電玩評論的方法去評論我們三件作品。 那位評論在他的網頁中提到 levelHead 的操控很不流暢，害他學了很久都不會最後只好放棄；又提到他想看到 Moving Mario能呈現本來 Super Mario Bros 的一些原素如向前走之後不能回頭等；又提到Extended Cognitive System的介面設計和指引的問題。 Julian 的 [...] ... Filed under: News The third PSP redesign is now available in retail stores across the US and the rest of North America. The first PSP Brite pack, which is out now starting today, is the silver Ratchet & Clank bundle . It's a Silver PSP with a copy of Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters , a National Treasure 2 UMD movie, 1GB memory stick and an online download voucher for Echochrome . The price remains the same as the older bundles at MSRB $199.99. If you're looking for that other bundle which is the black PSP Brite with the 4GB memory stick, you'll still have to wait for next month in order to get that. The silver pack will be available in all European countries except the UK a day later on October 15. EU countries will also have to wait for the black bundle in November.
