According to the numbers the Tampa Bay Rays finish the season as A.L. Champs. Of course many things can change between now and early Oct. such as Jason Bartlett getting his fingered mangled by a heater or Shawn Riggans manning up and taking one in the chest for the team. Not to make light of the situation but Shawn will be fine, I've seen some devastating football hits to the upper thorax that would have killed the avg. man, but these are fine tuned athletes. After analyzing the %'s of the Rays, Sox & Yanks, here's what sonny boy showed me as to the final standings of the A.L. East. I knew I reared a good'n: Tampa Bay 95 - 67 Boston 92 - 70 NY Yanks 87 - 75 The tally was based on the Rays winning 73% of their home games and 45% of their road games. Based on the home / away schedule throughout the rest of the season the Rays will win 17 of their remaining 23 home games and win 13 of their 30 remaining road games. 30 more wins? That I could live with. The Red Sox actually win only 42% of their road games and are winning 68% of their home games. Boston's split thru the rest of the year will be winning 18 at home and 11 on the road or a total of 29 wins before years end. Getting bounced from a bar for drunk and disorderly conduct is one thing. But Tara Kislauskis was bounced from East Bay Grille for wearing a chiffon scarf on her head. Kislauskis, a 35-year-old Kingston woman with a medical condition that leaves her bald, opted to wear a chiffon scarf on her head instead of her wig July 19, when she went out to dinner with her husband at East Bay Grille. Kislauskis didn’t give that decision much thought; it was hot, she said, and she didn’t want to wear her wig. The couple arrived at the restaurant around 8 p.m., was seated and ordered a drink. An hour later, a bouncer appeared at the table. Kislauskis said she thought it was a joke at first when the bouncer announced that he hated to be the one to do this, but the manager makes him enforce the dress code and no headgear is allowed in the restaurant after 9 p.m. “He said no hats, no scarves, no nothing,” Kislauskis said. “I said, ‘Are you kidding me? Do you realize I’m wearing this because I have a medical condition?’ “ The bouncer seemed surprised and apologetic. “I said, ‘You know what? It doesn’t even matter,’ ” she said. Kislauskis grabbed her bag and she and her husband left the restaurant. While the bouncer backed off his stance about the scarf, and would have allowed her to stay, Kislauskis said the damage was already done. “I was bummed I had to leave,” she said. “I wasn’t going to be treated that way, then told, ‘OK, something’s wrong wi ...
