Do you like the way the spin dryers at the gym dry your swim trunks so quickly? I sure do. I just saw a post titled 'Spin Dryers' over at Cool Tools blog about a home version of the same contraption. Why is this important to me? Cycling Clothes. Two things conspire, first I wash all of my cycling clothes on the gentle cycle which I am convinced does not spin dry the clothes very well (part of being gentle I suppose) and second, I hang dry all of my cycling clothes since most are not Dryer friendly. So there they are looking so lovely in the spare bathroom! They can take days to dry, especially the chamois in the shorts. Need some help. Dryer turns, but coils do not heat. Have had this puppy 36 years, and it's a matter of "pride" to fix it, so... Help! (-: I have changed the heating elements probably a half dozen times, but the ones in it now are fine. I have checked and I do have 220 coming in. I have a good Fluke meter. How do you check the thermal cutoffs? Do you have "continuity tone" when you check the 2 spade pins? My sense is it might be the thermal cutoffs, and I was going to "bypass" them to see if the coils heated. (Hopefully wont burn the house down!) Can't even locate parts for this model!
