Her father, Pete, a retired fireman, and her mother, Peggy, a homemaker, are devoted to Angelas career, as are her older brother, Paul and his family. According to her parents, she began singing even before she could speak clearly, singing along with the radio. (36 comments - 164 views) YOU can come to the after hours party. Tis the season to congratulate our latest family jewel: Our brother Grimm. Just recently he acquired his bronze Diamond, and it kind of slipped under everyone's radar because he doesn't post videos as often as many of us. In other words, he's not a Siftaholic. Damn him and his life outside of here! Wait....I guess that means he has to damn himself!? Is that possible!? Is there a theologian in the house? Outside of creating the universe in six days, he also created the 1sttube channel. Wellll....because he created the universe, I guess that means he created all the other channels too, because he created us, who in turn created computers, and then the internet, and then....is there a theologian in the house? Would it surprise any of you that this is his highest rated video? I think it means he's telling us that we're all going to hell because we're such a crappy, whiny generation. And I have to say, that kinda hurts. So stop in to congratulate Grimm, because he might just forgive you for your crappy, whiny sins. And check out what the REAL gifts of the Magi were: GOLF Just be the Ball, be the Ball, be the Ball. BASKETBALL Wait til you see my Ascension Dunk! With six minutes remaining in its home opener, Johnston City's boys basketball team found itself in a position to earn its first victory of the season Tuesday night. However, Christopher ended the game on a 21-8 run to pull away for a 68-53 victory over the Indians during their Black Diamond Conference inter-divisional game at Wendell Starrick Gymnasium. "We battled with them for a little more than three quarters," first-year head coach Brad Grenoble said. "We just didn't finish the game very strong." After Christopher tallied the game's first four points, Johnston City responded with an 11-2 run and eventually held an 11-9 lead at the end of one quarter. Shawn Menckowski drilled a 3-pointer to put the Bearcats back on top 12-11, but Johnston City bounced back to lead by as many as 24-20 with 2:20 left in the half. Nick Dean had five points in that span while Jake Hewlett and Derek Solomon each provided four. Hewlett picked up his third foul midway through the second quarter as Christopher ended on a 6-2 spurt to forge a halftime deadlock at 26. Hewlett scored 10 of his 13 points in the first half. "We were moving the Ball around and getting good looks at the basket," Grenoble said. "We competed very hard and battled on the boards in the first half." Johnston City came out strong in the third quarter as Hewlett and Dean each canned a 3-pointer to push the Indians ahead by a 36-32 margin. Trailing 39-38, Christopher ended the third with ...

Sesser-Valier-Woodlawn had no trouble at Elverado Monday night, moving to 3-2 on the season with a 62-30 win. S-V-W jumped on top 24-5 after one period and led 40-11 at the half to put the game away early. “We got out to a big lead because of our pressure defense,” Sesser coach Brian Gibson said. “We are doing a better job of turning the opponents turnovers into points. “We struggled offensively in the first part of the second quarter,” he added. “We didn’t score a field goal the first four minutes, but played better the rest of the half and the first part of the third quarter.” The Red Devils took a 52-19 lead into the final period. Sesser had balanced scoring, with Emmalee Metcalf scoring 12 points, with Cheryl DelBene and Ashley Slack adding 11 points each. “Cheryl DelBene played her best game of the year,” Gibson said. “She scored all 11 of her points in the first half, played great handling the Ball and starting our offense, and she also played great defense on their best ballhandler. “Chelsea Knight came off the bench and also played her best game of the year,” he added. “She scored six points on strong post moves and was a force on the boards when we were in a little foul trouble the first half.” The game was the opener in Black Diamond West play for both teams. “This wasn’t a pretty win by any means,” Gibson admitted. “We continue to struggle with some of the basics. Our schedule in December is going to be tough, and we ne ...
