Depuis quelques annees, le monde de la comedie parodique s'enfonce de plus en plus dans la mediocrite. Depuis un premier Scary Movie qui pouvait faire illusion grace a son mauvais gout assume, les tentatives de pastiches sont desormais torchees a la va-vite histoire d'engranger un max de pognon en un mimimum de temps en capitalisant sur des succes recents (voir par exemple le trailer du deja exasperant Disaster Movie, ou on en arrive a faire des gags sur des films pas encore sortis comme Hancock... Vous avez dit opportuniste ?). Scenarios ecrits en deux soirees autour de DVDs fraichement achetes et d'un paquet de (mauvaise) weed, tournage d'une ou deux semaine(s) qui base ses debuts de scene sur un film connu pour les finir sur une chute causee par une peau de banane, post-prod a peine plus longue histoire de rajouter quelques effets cheap, et hop we got a movie. Les fans des Top Secret, Airplane ou autres Naked Gun se bouffent donc le peu de doigts qui leur reste apres la mort artistique des ZAZ, en esperant trouver une perle digne de ces ancetres. C'est alors qu'un certain Jake Kasdan (fils du celebre Lawrence) s'est decide de parodier les biopics musicaux ayant fleuri ces dernieres annees, Ray et Walk the Line en tete...
