Lance Erdman, 46, of York, has changed his plea, regarding a case in which he was accused of threatening to kill his wife. He was arrested, according to York County Sheriff Dale Radcliff, “after making comments about eliminating her. There was apparently physical abuse in the past, and with his comments about hurting her, it was determined that an arrest was warranted." According to the arrest affidavit, the victim had received numerous calls from Erdman. After refusing to return to their home, Erdman allegedly told her "No, there is either four of us or zero." The affidavit said he also allegedly told her he "has (his) guns," and that "the law could not protect her all the time.” He was originally charged with a Class IV felony, which was reduced as part of a plea agreement, to attempted terroristic threats, which is a Class I misdemeanor. Erdman pleaded no contest to the amended charge, which carries a possible maximum sentence of one year in county jail and/or a $1,000 fine. However, the prosecution said that as part of the plea agreement, they will not object to probation. It still remains up to the judge to decide the sentence, regardless of the agreement. “I consented with the victim and we are in agreement,” Sieh said. ...
