Saturday’s Loden Dager show at Bungalow 8 was a laid-back affair, attended by a soggy crowd of menswear buyers and editors who had ducked in from the minor hurricane outside. BURBNK, Calif. - September 3, 2008 - David Arquette ("Scream") will be making the trip to Camden County when he plays a hapless amateur stuntman in an upcoming episode of NBC's "My Name is Earl." The casting announcement was confirmed today by show creator and executive producer Greg Garcia. In the episode, scheduled to air this fall, Earl decides it's time to make it up to local stunt man, Sweet Johnny (guest-star David Arquette, "Scream") for sleeping with his girlfriend 10-years-ago. When Earl finds Sweet Johnny, he discovers his friend has a permanent injury that makes righting the wrong seem almost impossible. Elsewhere, Joy (Jaime Pressly) buys a gun after someone carjacks the Brat, but Darnell (Eddie Steeples) does not approve of owning the firearm. Ethan Suplee and Nadine Velazquez also star. The fourth season premiere of "My Name is Earl" is September 25 at 8 pm followed by another original episode at 8:30 pm on NBC. Created and written by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia ("Yes, Dear"), "My Name Is Earl" is executive-produced by Garcia, and Bobby Bowman ("Yes, Dear"). We're not exactly sure who wants to dress like plaid-favoring David Arquette , who's known not only for being Mr. Courteney Cox , but for his oftentimes daring (and just plain odd) fashion sense. But the actor and his friend, singer Ben Harper , are launching a men's collection called Propr. The duo plans to show a few looks during New York's Fashion Week, with a preview scheduled for September 8. David is a designing fool, apparently, who can't wait for his collection to come out. Yes, all the words in that title are spelled correctly. David Arquette and Ben Harper have teamed up to launch a new fashion line in September called Propr . You know they must be rich enough to do it on their own, because I don't know who would commit to an investment in clothing styled by the above two fashion trainwrecks. Okay, to be fair, they are not always fashion trainwrecks. Both David Arquette and Ben Harper tend toward the more relaxed jeans-and-tshirts kind of daily dress with a tendency toward openly pot-friendly attire. In fact, I kind of like their relaxed style most of the time. Minus the hat and the appliquéd marijuana leaves, I have stuff that looks a lot like this: And also minus the platter of cannabis buds. It is not the kind of streetwear their bongs might inspire that worries me, though. What I am worried about is what kind of evening/red carpet craziness they might concoct. I fear that it may end up looking a little something like Elvis meets John Candy. Note the mock Harper/Arquette amalgam below: I hope that they have some kind of mentor to guide them along the way, because come September, the Propr clothing line is going to hit the runway, and my fingers are crossed that they will keep the flames and John Candy-esque plaid out of it lest some 20-something dufuses pick this out as the new cool and molest our eyes with it all winter. ...
