I have the HR20 and the issue that I am having is trying to record shows when one bleeds over by 1 minute. For example: Show #1 starts at 2100 and stops at 2201. This show records. Show #2 starts at 2200 and stops at 2300. This show records. Show #3 starts at 2200 and stops at 2300. This show does NOT record and the scheduler ask to delete one of the above shows. Is there anyway to shave that extra minute off Show #1 so it stops at 2200? Or add an extra minute to show #2 or #3 so it starts at 2201? Also as a side note the user manual says that I can record three shows at the same time. Two off the dish and one off an OTA. I don't get this as there are two recorders in the box. Tonight when I turned my television to channel 13 to watch Craig Ferguson, I found that it although the guide data is correct for the time and channel(saying that Craig Ferguson is playing), what is actually being displayed is channel 32(KAZQ). I am rearranging my house, and want to move one of the 2 receivers connected to the satellite to another room (Dual LNB satellite). Both currently work perfectly hooked where they are, but when I move one of the to the other room, I lose the even transponders on the one moved. The receiver that did not change works fine. I upgraded the cable to quad shield rg6, checked the female to female connector, but can not figure it out. I moved it back into the original location and it works fine. Does this mean the cable run is too long? (its approx 60 ft) something wrong with the brand new cable I ran? Receiver issue even though it works in the other room? LNB? I'm at a loss and frustrated ...

I realize this is a long shot but . . . About three years ago I purchased two Direct TV / Tivo's with TIVO Plus/Hackman installed from ebay. I wanted to purchase two more units, but have been unable to get in touch with the original seller. This may be a rehashed or stupid question, and if so, sorry. I am returning to DIRECTV because of the new HD Tivo's coming out. But, in the meantime, is there any reason why I can't eBay one of the older DIRECTV HD TIVO's and use that? I had planned on using my sd Dtv Tivo, but figured if I can find an HD one cheap I might as well give it a shot. So, is anyone aware of any reason why I can't or shouldn't do that? Yes, DIRECTV has more HD channels than any of its competitors -- 130 if you include PPV, a bunch of regional sports channels, many variants of the pay-movie channels -- but it still lacks some major names. There's no AMC HD, no Fox News HD and no PBS HD. I have no idea if DIRECTV has been slow to negotiate deals with these channels or whether it doesn't have satellite space to add them. If this is just a matter of negotiations, I say get these deals sealed. Fox News is easily the top rated news channel. AMC airs the show that just won the Best Drama Emmy. And PBS has great documentaries. If this is a matter of sheer space, DIRECTV should make way by dropping some of its more obscure channels. I'd suggest Altitude HD, Biography HD, Fuel HD and Planet Green HD. If space is really at a premium, I'd even suggest dropping the HD feeds from MTV and VH1. I'm not arguing that they're obscure channels but I have never once seen a single bit of HD content on either of them, so there's really no point. Being HD king isn't just a matter of numbers. It's about offering the stuff that people actually want to see. ...

The show won't be back on NBC until mid-season, and only a deal with the satellite service is keeping the show alive.
