I don't know why, and I'm not advocating it, but I have a feeling Josh McD is going to draft Colt McCoy in the 2nd round.  Some analysts compare McCoy to Dree Brees which would be great if we drafted him and that turned out to be the case.  However, other analysts see him in the same light as Colt Brennan , a talented passer who put up big numbers while in college that can't quite cut it in the NFL. My question to you is which one do you think Colt McCoy is and how would you feel if we drafted him in the 2nd round? ...

I know that Colt is the darling of alot of posters on WP while others could careless about the former Hawaii standout. I fall somewhere in the middle as a guy who liked him coming out of college and feels like he has a realistic shot of being an All-Pro caliber QB (...yes, I know it's a bit of a long shot) with the right work ethic and coaching. I think we need to see him with the first team O this pre-season to see what he can do against NFL caliber competition. If he can be solid this prseason, win the starting job (not a stretch for a third year player, despite the injury) and give a solid perfomance this season...then we may not have to look outside of Ashburn for our QB for the next 10 years. What do you think? ...

Following up on Stephen Tsai's post from a few days ago, Matt Terl of the official Redskins blog talks to Colt Brennan about his trip to the White House. Brennan met both President Barack Obama -- who was born in Hawai'i -- and Vice President Joe Biden -- two meetings that he described as "really, really, really cool." The feeling, apparently, was mutual -- at least as Brennan describes it. "You're in a huge line to meet the president and you have a designated time," he explained. "They kind of shoo you in and shoo you out. I mean, I've met a lot of celebrities, a lot of big time people, but meeting the President ... it was an honor. Just sharing thirty seconds to a minute with him, and him saying [to wife Michelle], 'Honey, this is the best quarterback that ever came out of the University of Hawai'i.'"
