Breast Cancer runs rampant in my family. I have a Grandmother that had lost both breasts and my Mother has lost one due to breast cancer. I currently live in Cleveland, Ohio and we just had a 60 mile Marathon to raise awareness for breast cancer. Since I could not attend the Marathon, I decided that I will raise awareness through the Internet. I wanted to share with everyone how absolutely necessary it is that we perform self breast exams. I know our doctors tell us to do this but do we really? The Five Steps of a Breast Self Exam Step 1: Begin by looking at your breasts in the mirror with your shoulders straight and your arms on your hips. Here's what you should look for: Breasts that are their usual size, shape, and color Breasts that are evenly shaped without visible distortion or swelling If you see any of the following changes, bring them to your doctor's attention: Dimpling, puckering, or bulging of the skin A nipple that has changed position or an inverted nipple (pushed inward instead of sticking out) Redness, soreness, rash, or swelling Step 2: Now, raise your arms and look for the same changes. Step 3: While you're at the mirror, look for any signs of fluid coming out of one or both nipples (this could be a watery, milky, or yellow fluid or blood). Both teams got on the board in the first after taking basically a breakfast break from the Marathon thirteen inning game Wednesday night to the 12:05 afternoon start on Thursday at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Detroit scored their run on a Carlos Guillen sac-fly to center that plated Curtis Granderson. Cleveland got their first score on back-to-back doubles from Ben Francisco and Jhonny Peralta. At the end of one, it was tied 1-1. Francisco Carmona pitched as well as a guy should be expected to in his second outing after a long trip to the DL. It even appeared he might cruise to an easy win. Then again, this is the Indians and Detroit we are talking about. The Indians put up a three spot in the bottom of the fifth, opening up a 4-1 lead. After Sal Fassano was hit by a pitch, Asdrubal Cabera worked a work after a full count, setting the plate for Grady Sizemore’s 27 th home-run of the season. The Tigers got a run back in the top of the sixth. Ramon Santiago was hit by a pitch and Carlos Guillen moved him to second with a single. Matt Joyce was safe on a fielder’s choice. We've landed in Chicago and are eagerly awaiting the start of the second leg of the Audi Mileage Marathon. So far, the Q7s, Q5s, A4s, and A3s have traveled from New York to Chicago by way of Washington, D.C. and Cleveland. We depart tomorrow morning for our first stint of the drive which takes us from the Windy City into Memphis, Tennessee. I'm in Manhattan this afternoon preparing to spend the next week in an Audi Q7 TDI on the way to Denver and will be checking in regularly from the road as we pass through Washington, Cleveland, Chicago, Memphis, Dallas and Amarillo along the way. Audi plans to launch its fifty-state-legal Q7 TDI in the US market next spring and it seems likely that some of the other vehicles on this trip may not be far behind. I'll be on the first two legs and Sebastian, Damon, Drew and Jonathan will take over for the second week of the trip to Los Angeles. You can also follow along at the Audi Mileage Marathon site where there's a Twitter feed following the participants as they cross the continent. There is also a live map showing our location on the road along with two blogs, including one from Audi of America boss Johan de Nysschen.
