What have you been looking forward to playing at Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show booth? Dragon Quest XI ? Final Fantasy XIII ? The Last Remnant ? The 3rd Birthday ? How about: none of the above? Much like last year , Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show booth looks like it's going to be on the skinny side in 2008. The big playable games are going to be many of the same ones that were playable at the company's recent exclusive Tokyo event: The Kingdom Hearts spinoffs for Nintendo DS and PSP, and the fighting game Dissidia . Other playable titles include some more DS games: Snoopy DS (...wtf?), Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon , and Valkyrie Profile . Meanwhile, the big guns aren't ready for prime-time yet, and they'll be shown on video only. Some things might change between now and the show, but the list as it currently stands is below. Square Enix has announced its lineup for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, and while you might get to see a lot of games on display, you won't be playing some of the more highly-anticipated titles. What's the Tokyo Game Show without Square Enix ? It just won't be the same. Squeenix has released details of the booth at the event. Jeez I wish I was going. They're coming with demos of several games, including ones for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts games: Birth by Sleep and 358/2 . No Kingdom Hearts 3 in sight, sorry true believers. Who knows, they might surprise us. The Official PlayStation Magazine shouted out a rumor last month saying that KHIII is already in development for the PlayStation 3 as an exclusive, and will be released at TGS. If you want to hang on to hope, hang on to that. Square Enix is also setting up a Chrono Trigger Museum. Pretty sweet. They're also returning with the Closed Mega Theater. Guess it's more trailers that those who get to attend will rave over, and fans won't get a peek of for months. Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon: Majiyo to Otome to Gojin no Yuusha ( Chocobo and the Magic Storybook: The Witch, The Maiden, and the Five Heroes ) follows the fat chocobo as he ventures, this time, into a story book drawn by Cid. Both of Square Enix's new Chocobo games focus heavily on Cid, so we're not surprised to see the franchise staple putting pen to page in this game.
