Sometimes, when work seems to drag and I want to think about something other than if Dentyne’s new ads are going to resonate with their target consumer and if Stacey is going wear sneakers with her suit again, my mind drifts and I imagine better working conditions. There’s obviously a million things that could make work better, but one thing that would really improve my moral would be if my boss hired Chewbacca . It would make my work say so fun, I think I’d actually look forward to coming into the office. Just look at him. Smoke break. Tell me you wouldn’t love to have him greet you every time you step foot into work. Chewy (of course I’d call him this because we’d be boys) would be the best at inter-office small talk too. Me: “Damn man, did you see the game? Parker had, what, 180 yards and three touchdowns, right?” Chewy: “Aarrgggh!” Me: “Fucking right man. It's not easy being a bank employee these days. You don't know what your bank will be tomorrow. Perhaps it will be a different kind of bank. Or even a former bank. So perhaps it is unsurprising that Geoff Harmer, an IT chap at Barclays Bank in Basingstoke, England (a little like the nice parts of New Jersey), decided to invest $90 and his artistic talent into making a Star Wars movie . The opus is entitled Overtime and the action takes place around the bank cubicles, in an elevator (where the protagonists encounter a tall bald man who has something of Chewbacca's gutturals) and, um, around some more cubicles. The acting might best be described as determined, with the Emmy going to a female employee who manages to brandish two lightsabers with all the grace of Uma Thurman in Kill Bill . Well, some of the grace. Will the world's Star Wars fans support this movie? (Credit: CC Official Star Wars blog ) The film lasts just over eight minutes and is confidently followed by a taster of the employees' next movie, entitled OT2. Time an' a Half , which seems to involve another female brandisher with far more black make-up and significantly less black clothing. Although the AT reader jury was hung on the Wary Meyers wedding portraits , we have to show off the customized pet portraits. We love 'em. They're pretty, a little crazy, but totally sweet. In other words, they perfectly represent our pets... "Grumpus" Just like the wedding portraits, the pet paintings are also typically painted in acrylics on 20" x 24" canvas but the size is negotiable. Yet unlike the wedding portraits, Wary Meyers requests photos of your pets and tidbits about their personality. We've brought you some very cool Steampunk Star Wars action figures in the past , and now comes these equally-as-cool fan made drawings of Star Wars characters over at Gorilla Artfare . Also done up all Steampunk-y, artist Björn Hurri has created a number of images for characters like Chewbacca (pictured above), Yoda (pictured below in gallery), Luke Skywalker (who looks like a cross between a steel worker and a meth addict), Han Solo (if he was 63 and still going strong) and a badass Storm Trooper (who's working a little Predator action into his Steampunk suit).
