The Jerusalem Post reports : An IDF elite unit operating in Jenin discovered on Tuesday a large explosive device planted in a Car that was likely on its way to Explode in an Israeli city, the military released for publication on Wednesday. The Car was stopped during a Border Police operation in the West Bank city and was found to contain a 12 kilogram explosive device connected to several gas balloons and pipe Bombs. The Car was destroyed by Border Police sappers. The bomb somehow went undetected by the "security forces" of the Palestinian Authority, only to be discovered by Israelis in an operation of the kind that Secretary Rice finds to visit indignity on Palestinian Arabs. ... M&C : Sana’a, Yemen - A powerful Car bomb tore through a police compound in south-eastern Yemen Friday, leaving at least two people dead and eight injured, police and witnesses said. The bombing destroyed the main police centre in Sayoun city of Hadharmout province, 900 kilometres south-east of the capital Sana’a, witnesses said. Police sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa that a suicide attacker rammed an explosives-laden Car into the building early in the morning. Medics said eight people were injured in the explosion. The same police station was targeted April 22 with three Bombs placed along the perimeter walls in the early morning. There were no injuries in that attack. In June, authorities arrested “most wanted” al-Qaeda Haithem bin Saad in Hadramout. So what is it? Not reprisal for the arrest, since the first attack occurred months before. Not “battle hardened Iraq returnees” trying to take down Saleh, no. Its some localized issue, probably revenge or a form of negotiation that is related to someone at the police station, which BTW houses a variety of government offices, or did anyway. Its possible the bomber was expecting to get away or was one of these 19 year old brainwashed kids who died to exert pressure on the regime for a specific demand by one of the senior operatives. Earlier this week I posted about the Dept. of Homeland "Security"'s new EMD wristbands which are given to passengers boarding planes. They claim that this would speed up security checks and what-not. But it dawned on me that there's a better idea: Why not just issue these out to every citizen of the U.S.of A.? Make it a law that they have to wear one of these at all times. It would carry all their identification and their bank card information, etc! You'd never have to carry a stupid wallet ever again! It could even be fashionable by incorporating a wrist-watch and bling! If you were ever caught without one, you'd have to be shot dead on the spot. Why just airport security DHS?! What about buses with Bombs on them that'll Explode if it slows down? What about Car-jackers!? Unruly skateboarders and people taking pictures of stuff on public property? If you're visiting America, you'd have to wear one too, but it would look somewhat different so American citizens would know that you're a foreigner and potentially dangerous. ... She written six diaries and several essays about her belief in God and how she wanted to change the world through small acts of kindness. In April 20th, 1999, two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold arrived at Columbine High School in separate cars. Harris parked in the Junior student parking lot and Klebold in the Senior student parking lot at spaces not assigned to them. Shortly before arriving at Columbine, Harris and Klebold had set up a small fire bomb in a field half a mile away from the school. The bomb was set to Explode at 11:14 a.m., and is thought to have been placed there as a diversion for emergency personnel. The bomb did partially detonate, and caused a small fire that was extinguished by the fire department. At Columbine, the pair met near Harris' Car and armed two 20 pound (9 kg) propane Bombs before entering the cafeteria a few minutes before the "A" lunch shift began and placed the duffel bags carrying the Bombs inside. For years, there has been relentless pressure by American administrations to lift the 'humiliating' checkpoints and other security checks on Arabs entering Israel. I was upset about the scare quotes that the mainstream media uses to downplay what is going on in that part of the world. 1400 people killed on day 1 (reported, though now unconfirmed), and an "unidentified" fighter dropping "munitions" on Gori, Georgia. A knowledgeable fellow commented on my lack of knowledge about fighters v. bombers, but his is a techinal definition, my is a functional one. If you bomb something, you are a bomber. If you are walking along and set a bomb on the ground to Explode, you are a "bomber." If you use a cart, a Car, a bicycle or a jetliner to deliver an explosive that detonates, you are a "bomber." As to point about the word "enemy" dependent upon whose side you're on, how about this: as we say, someone who Bombs you is not your friend. Country "A" who invades Country "B" is by definition the enemy of country "B". Perhaps using the descriptor "enemy" for the "fighter" was a tautology, but it wasn't inaccurate to the people of Gori.
