Much has been made of Barack Obama’s fundraising prowess, particularly from small, first-time donors. It turns out some of those “first-timers” are really several-hundred-timers — phony donors used to circumvent contribution limits and disclosure rules : In a letter dated June 25, 2008, the FEC asked the Obama Campaign to verify a series of $25 donations from a contributor identified as “Will, Good” from Austin, Texas. Mr. Good Will listed his employer as “Loving” and his profession as “You.” A Newsmax analysis of the 1.4 million individual contributions in the latest master file for the Obama Campaign discovered 1,000 separate entries for Mr. Good Will, most of them for $25. In total, Mr. Good Will gave $17,375. Oh, then there’s the illegal foreign Money: The FEC has compiled a separate database of potentially questionable overseas donations that contains more than 11,500 contributions totaling $33.8 million. More than 520 listed their “state” as “IR,” often an abbreviation for Iran. Barry can’t hold unconditional meetings with the Iranians until he assumes office. For now, their Money will suffice. ... Shady finances continued to plague the No on Prop 2 Campaign today, after the Yes on Prop 2 Campaign filed a complaint with the Fair Political Practices Commission alleging Money laundering between the United Egg Producers and the No on Prop 2 Campaign. The UEP raised $4.5 million dollars without disclosing it's intended purpose, and it boldly made this known via it's newsletter. After the Yes on Prop 2 Campaign filed their initial complaint a few weeks backs, the No Campaign quickly filed a late report of the funds raised. But in their most recent newsletter, the UEP admitted it held onto the funds "until the Campaign committee actually needed funds." That would appear to be a confession of guilt. There's more... ...
