I thought I stayed pretty current on all the "enhancements" DL has been "giving" us lately. I was unaware the charge for award tix went from $10 to $46-49 on DL, even as a PM. Now I find out my good Buddy just booked an award tix to AUS where we are having a weekend with another Buddy and his tix cost $10 and mine was $49! He has ZERO status on CO. It also made me really, really happy to cough up 50K Miles for a coach tix on four legs of RJ700's. I can't wait for a 2.5 hr flight in an RJ. Lucky me. I should have just paid the $231 on CO for a non-RJ flight to AUS. Thanks again, DL. ... Source: www.independent.co.uk --- 22 days ago
For a comedy about a mega- budget Hollywood folly, it's startling how close to being a mega-budget Hollywood folly Tropic Thunder is. Directed and co-written by Ben Stiller, it features Stiller himself as a Stallone-alike action hero who's reduced to appearing in Buddy movies alongside Martin Lawrence. Jack Black plays a gross-out comic whose fart-filled films aren't a million Miles away from Eddie Murphy's. And Robert Downey Jnr plays an Oscar-winning, hell-raising Australian thesp who might just be based on Russell Crowe. ... Source: www.starpulse.com --- 38 days ago

Oh boy, that is one loaded question! Are you like me watching the US Open whenever you can? I am enjoying seeing the qualifiers giving those Top 10 players a good run for their money. And how about Sam Querry, our Southern California home boy? What a US Open he had this year... took a set from Nadal... Well, whenever I see the top players hitting their forehands and backhands so hard and oh so accurate, I'm thinking why can't I do that? What the heck is wrong with me? I started playing tennis at the age of 33. Should I not be able to serve as hard as them? Should I not be able to hit those down-the-line shots as accurately as they do? Or should I? Ok, for the sake of this investigation I'm putting my Engineering hat on, trying to examine what the real difference is between Roger Federer and me (besides the age and the height, of course). Roger is 27 years of age and started playing tennis at the age of 6. He began playing and practising seriously at the age of nine. Let's say he picked up a "professional" regiment of at least five 6-hour practice days at the age of 12, about 15 years ago. Let's start with the serves. 15 years of serves, at least 50-100 balls a day, 5 days a week x 780 weeks = 195,000 - 390.000 serves. How many serves have I hit in the past 15 years? Let me think. Ok, maybe 25,000? And most of them wrong, during match play, without any thorough training and guidance. Except from my Buddy Konrad. The one with the 21 Miles ...

Why is Barack Obama and his campaign lying about his relationship and association with William "Bill" Ayers ? Consider what Obama said on April 16, 2008 when asked about Ayers at the ABC Primary Debate in Philadelphia: "This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis. And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was eight years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense..." * TRUTH *bq. Ayers does live in Barack's neighborhood (or vice versa). In fact, Barack and Bill currently live about two blocks apart on Greenwood Avenue and 50^th^ Street. And before Barack's "boneheaded" deal with convicted felon Rezko to purchase the Greenwood mansion, Obama lived about 1-1/4 Miles from Bill. But the dismissive "just a guy who lives in my neighborhood" is a lie because Ayers was not just some fellow Barack bumped into at the corner market. They have a relationship that goes back nearly 20 years. Ayers was Barack's friend, employer, colleague, and political supporter. Ayers also is a tenured professor and multiple reports indicate he also is a Buddy of Chicago's Mayor Richard Daley. In fact, Mayor Daley has defended him during the campaign saying they've worked together, that Bill Ay ... Source: www.kentucky.com --- 8 days ago
Bill Allen affectionately referred to the outings as "boot camp." It was a time when he and Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, would retreat together to a desert location where they gave up hard liquor and heavy food for wine and light meals. The idea, Allen said, was to do lots of walking, "trying to get off some pounds." The self-made multimillionaire last week painted that postcard of his once-loyal friendship with the patriarch of Alaskan politics. But the portrait emerged at a chilly reunion in an uncomfortable setting more than 3,000 Miles from their northern stomping grounds - Stevens' corruption trial in Washington, a case that could ruin the senator's career. Prosecutors called Allen as their star witness against Stevens, who is accused of lying on Senate forms about more than $250,000 worth of free renovations to his mountain cabin and other gifts from Allen and his oil pipelines company, VECO Corp. Allen was expected to return to the witness stand on Monday. Testifying as part of a deal in which he pleaded guilty to bribing state legislators, Allen told jurors he did not have the heart to bill his Buddy for the work. Stevens sometimes asked for bills, Allen said. But Allen said he was informed by a mutual friend that the senator made the requests simply to cover his tracks. ... "October 12, 2008 9:45PM PDT We will be performing extended maintenance for all realms on Tuesday, October 14. The downtime will begin at 2:00 AM PDT and end at approximately 2:00 PM PDT." Saw this when logging in a few mintues ago to afk in shatt. If there isn't a patch (ie. 3.0) then theres going to be something huge. All servers down for 12 Hours+, thats like 4hours+ more than usual. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now a little giggle. I drove around for about 2 hours because I had nothing else to do besides sleep, and me and a Buddy were driving around for about 45mins and I stopped at a Church to stretch my legs (I'm 6'5 w/ shoes and my car isn't exactly "roomy") and was standing outside my car for about 5 mins and my friend was smoking a cigeratte. We got back inside the car and noticed some security lights go on and someone in side was looking at us, so we drive off. We drive about 30 feet and we see a cop flies past us doing about 65 on a 40 rode, and slams on his breaks at the church, and does a 180 and starts coming towards us. So I take a turn in the closet neighborhood and start taking every turn I see to lose him "if" he was after us, but he probably was cuase we are the only ones on the road for Miles. We start messing around thinking of reasons why the cop may of been after us when I realize the guy inside the church probably called the cops cause he thought we were going to rob it for a couple of ...

With more than 7,500 voters showing up to the polls for the highly-anticipated 36th Judicial District Judge race, the citizens of Beauregard Parish elected Martha Ann O'Neal for Division A District Judge and Kerry Anderson for Division B District Judge. The election followed months of grueling campaigning, thousands of dollars spent, and the aftermath of two hurricanes which hit the parish just weeks before the big day. After covering Miles on foot while going door-to-door to meet voters, placing thousands of signs throughout the entire parish, and - at times - lobbing negative jabs, the candidates have now heard the voters. According to unofficial parish results on the Louisiana Secretary of State website and subsequent clarification with Beauregard Parish Clerk of Court Brian LeStage, in the Division A race, Democrat O'Neal received 3,828 votes, or 50.47 percent, over her opponent Keith Milam who received 3,756 votes, or 49.53 percent. After the conclusion of the extremely tight race, Judge-elect O'Neal said, "I am humbled by the support that Beauregard Parish gave me to be the very first woman Judge elected in this parish's history." In the Division B race, Anderson (no party) received 5,028 votes, or 65.61percent, over his opponent Incumbent Judge H.I. "Buddy" Stewart (no party) who received 2,635 votes, or 34.39 percent, Judge-elect Anderson said, "I am humbled by the vote of confidence from the voters of Beauregard Parish. I wil ... Senator Tom McClintock, R - Thousand Oaks, is running against Democrat and Ret. Lt. Col. Charlie Brown in the 4th Congressional District. -- News10ABC To get a taste of how absurd that sentence is, you need to be familiar with California geography. How far would carpetbagger Tom McClintock have to drive from his Thousand Oaks home in order to vote for himself in the district in which he's running? Oh ... about 400 Miles . Oh, wait. He's not eligible to vote in CA-04. My bad. But the distance between conservative carpetbagger darling Tom McClintock and our own Orange to Blue candidate Charlie Brown is measured by far more than Miles. Brown's military background and progressive credentials were laid out by kos the first time the Democrat ran for this district in 2005--when he came close to unseating Jack Abramoff's Buddy, John Doolittle. With the incumbent Republican bowing out this time around, perennial crackpot wingnut favorite Tom McClintock stepped into the breach. And the most recent Research 2000/Daily Kos poll of the district shows Brown leading the carpetbagger, 46 to 41. We can take this district, people. One of the most Republican in the country. And we can take it with a proud, unapologetic progressive facing down a lying, liberal-hating opponent. How odious is McClintock? Well, let's start the evening off with this web video currently on McClintock's site. Want to know why the country's in economic meltdown? Despite th ...

Albert Pujols would be happy if every St. Louis Cardinals game included a “Buddy walk” for children with Down Syndrome. It certainly brings out the best in the team’s star. Pujols, whose adopted daughter Isabella has Down Syndrome, hit a two-run home run in his first at-bat in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over the Florida Marlins. Since becoming spokesman for the games in 2002, he’s 10-for-24 with six homers and 11 RBIs and the Cardinals are 5-1. He homered in his first three at-bats in the 2006 game. The children get a chance to walk around the warning track, and some get to stand on the field next to the players during the National Anthem. “It’s always good because you see all the kids and they say you hit a home run for them,” Pujols said. “Obviously, it was a pretty special day for them and I’m glad we got a win.” Adam Wainwright worked eight stingy innings and rookie Chris Perez got the last two outs for his seventh save in 10 chances, shaking off consecutive blown saves, helping the Cardinals take two of three for their first series win since Aug. 22-24, when they took two of three from the Braves. Aaron Miles tripled and scored on pinch hitter Josh Phelps’ single off Arthur Rhodes in the seventh for an insurance run for St. Louis, which has won only three of its last nine and is five games back of the Brewers for the NL wild card with 19 to go. It was also Pujols bobblehead day, with a sellout crowd of 46,045 giving the franchise 3 ... Find more results for Buddy Miles on RSSMicro.com |
