A fantastic new trailer for Valkyrie has just debuted and can be watched below. We also launched the new poster for the film earlier today, which hits theaters at Christmas. This is a vast improvement of the first teaser trailer that debuted in November last year. It looks like Bryan Singer definitely has a hit hiding in the shadows just waiting to be revealed. While I can't exactly work out exactly what his style is yet, I think he's got an incredible story and, of course, Singer is a phenomenal filmmaker who always has strong visuals. This trailer is very well thought out and will be a great way to start early buzz. If you've been waiting for something to finally show you that Valkyrie might be an amazing movie, this is definitely it. Take a look... Former Color Me Badd Singer Bryan Abrams was arrested Friday for public drunk and domestic abuse. Abrams, 38, apparently punched a woman in the nose and verbally threatened the woman by saying “I’m a kill you! You and me! You and me!” according to a police report. Police were called about 4 p.m. to SW 89 and Pennsylvania regarding a drunken man causing a domestic disturbance, according to a police report. Officers spoke with Abrams, who is said to have had slurred speech and “random sentence fragments.” They could also smell a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, according to the report. read more ... We know that United Artists moved up the release of Bryan Singer's WWII film Valkyrie to December this year, but we haven't exactly seen another trailer. The first one showed up last November and it's now nearly a year later we haven't seen anything else. Thankfully the guys at RopeofSilicon have debuted the first poster for the film and it kicks ass. I'm not saying that lightly either, this poster really is quite impressive. I definitely want one of these up on my walls right away. They've obviously chosen to go with a more stylized design than anything that resembles the gritty feeling of the film. This is one of those posters where everyone needs to drop what they're doing and check it out. Hopefully it lives up to all my hype... ‘Valkyrie’ de Bryan Singer sigue siendo una de las películas más esperadas por cualquier tipo de cinéfilo, a pesar de los problemas sufridos por la misma durante su postproducción, en la que se han tenido que rodar nuevas escenas, y la fecha de estreno se ha cambiado ya dos veces: del reciente verano a Febrero del 2009, y luego un paso atrás (aunque bien mirado es hacia delante) quedando como fecha final el 26 de Diciembre del 2008 en los USA, con lo que sus posibilidades para los Oscars han aumentado un 100%. ‘Valkyrie’ cuenta con un espectacular reparto encabezado por Tom Cruise , quien da vida al Coronel Claus von Stauffenberg, uno de los máximos responsables de la famosa Operación Valquiria , todo un entramado plan para asesinar a Hitler, y que como la historia nos demuestra fracasó. Oh, Bryan Singer's beleaguered Valkyrie . From multiple release date changes , to trouble with Germany , to rumors of doctoring historical photos , this movie has been plagued with setbacks and bad press for a long time. With equal parts curiosity and trepidation, I awaited a real trailer for the film, which is now opening Dec. 26. Now that the trailer is here, it looks better than I expected. Visually, I love the look of this movie so far. Singer directed The Usual Suspects (and X-Men , Superman Begins and X2 ), and with Valkyrie it appears that he has again captured an eerie, ominous tone. What isn't working for me is Tom Cruise whom I simply don't find believable in this role (the list of supporting actors, however, is promising: Bill Nighy, Eddie Izzard, Kenneth Branagh, and more). Cruise plays a high-ranking German officer (with an American accent . . ?) who plots to assassinate Hitler during the height of WWII. The code name for the assassination plan is "Valkyrie." Here's the trailer for Tom Cruise vehicle Valkyrie , directed by Bryan Singer. There's no release date set for the UK yet, but I'd imagine we'll get it in here sometime after Christmas as the US release date is Boxing Day. Though I'm confused by the Germans with American accents, the film is visually appealing and the trailer's upped my curiosity about it. Plus supporting actors including Bill Nighy, Eddie Izzard and Kenneth Branagh definitely add more intrigue. When we heard the word that Superman was going to reboot itself rather than continue on in the Bryan Singer / Richard Donner vein, we'd all assumed that meant a whole new cast, but apparently Brandon Routh is still involved, according to Latino Review . Paul Levitz, president of DC comics, says they've had recent talks with him to find out what they're doing. Apparently, everybody thinks Routh is a great guy and they want to keep him around. The other thing is that nothing is going to move forward with any of these DC projects until they get Christopher Nolan signed for another Batman sequel (which in itself is something that remains to be seen ). Routh did make a pretty good Clark Kent, and he can still channel Christopher Reeve without having to make a direct sequel to Donner's outdated Superman films. He could still work perfectly well. ...
