According to a recent survey conducted by esure car insurance, 71 percent of British Motorists would consider driving an electric vehicle to help with environmental issues. A possible reason for this high percentage could be due to the lower fuel and parking costs, as well as road tax electric vehicles present. It also seems that younger Motorists are more likely to buy a greener car (like this Mega City from EV builder, Nice). For those under the age of 25, it was surveyed that 81 percent would consider driving an electric vehicle. Elderly drivers on the other hand, those over age 55, only 66 percent would contemplate to alter their vehicle purchase. The survey was also able to find that 65 percent of Motorists in the UK have a different outlook on driving now, since recent financial issues. 17 percent of drivers are also considering a switch to a smaller, more fuel efficient car and an additional 14 percent stated that they may make the change if the current inflation kept on and the fuel prices continued to rise. + Motor Authority: Survey reveals 71% of Brits would switch to EVs ...
