Before we get started, you should know that veteran midfielder DaMarcus Beasley has been added to the U.S. roster for Wednesday's qualifier at Guatemala. Solid horror score that will suck you into its eerie atmosphere. Last Fall I saw a trailer for this weird looking horror movie. I saw Bradley Cooper, Vinnie Jones, and even Brooke Shields. This really ticks me off -- I was all jazzed about Aug. 1st as the opening day for The Midnight Meat Train , the film based on the great Clive Barker short story. Directed by Japanese cult director Ryuhei Kitamura ( Versus , Azumi ) and starring Bradley Cooper , Leslie Bibb and Vinnie Jones , it's about a New York photographer tracking down an elusive serial killer who prowls the subways late at night. I heard from friends who saw it at Fantasia Festival that it was terrific, but good luck finding the movie. Lionsgate is dumping it in second string theaters in Arizona, Texas and across the country. They obviously are uninterested in its theatrical possibilities and are ditching the film, which is a shame for fans who want to experience it on the big screen and with an audience. Two armed robberies occurred in Hinsdale Friday morning. A call came through the police scanner at about 10:15 a.m. that a second armed robbery was occurring at 19 W. First St. An employee from The Hinsdale Flower Shop, located at 17 W. First Street, said police were currently investigating the first robbery, which happened upstairs at a local Realtor office. Assistant Village Manager Douglas Cooper said Hinsdale Police Chief Bradley Bloom had to excuse himself from a meeting saying “another armed robbery just occurred.” He did not know any further details. A judge could release sealed documents Tuesday in the death of a North Carolina woman whose husband said she disappeared earlier this summer while jogging. Search warrants in the investigation of Nancy Cooper's death have been sealed since early summer. Lawyers for The News & Observer and WRAL-TV have urged Wake Superior Court Judge Donald Stephens to make the records available, but prosecutors could ask they remain sealed. A hearing was scheduled Tuesday. Stephens said last month it would take an unusual event for him to extend the seal. The news organization argued that search warrants usually are made public in criminal cases.
