The AP is reporting that shots were fired along the Vermont-Canada Border, saying that a U.S. Border Control agent shot at three suspects. They believe it is the first time Border Patrol agents have fired a weapon in the northeastern United States. According to the story, an agent on a routine Patrol confronted two males and one female walking in Derby Line, VT early in the morning. There was a struggle, the agent fired two shots, two were taken into custody, and one male escaped over the Border. "The Border Patrol is working with its federal, state, local, and Canadian law enforcement partners in order to locate the subject.
