In the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL-SENTINEL, Charles F. Gardner writes "Andrew Bogut is scheduled to return to Milwaukee from Australia this weekend, and the 7-foot center is expected to be ready for the opening of the Milwaukee Bucks' training camp Sept. 30. Bogut suffered a badly sprained left ankle while competing for Australia against the U.S. during the Beijing Olympics, an injury suffered when he got tangled up with Team USA star Kobe Bryant. But a magnetic resonance imaging exam showed no serious damage, and Bogut has been rehabilitating the injury in his hometown of Melbourne for nearly a month." ... Center Andrew Bogut is getting to be quite an expert on the various ways training camps are conducted. After all, he's currently taking part in his third straight training camp with a different coach. Bogut says coach Scott Skiles camp so far has been different from what he experienced previously under former coaches Terry Stotts and Larry Krystkowiak because of the demands - physically and mentally - that are placed on players. And, that the players are being required to play through adversity. "That was a long session but it was cool," said Bogut after a practice that ran nearly 3 hours Thursday and had players visibly winded at the end. "At times, it gets frustrating since the coaches do such a great job of staying on you. I think it's great because you've got to play through adversity and frustrations (in games). "They're putting new plays in every day so you've got a bunch of stuff in your head and it's great to do that in training camp because there's not going to be a tougher time in the season than this. So if we can get through this with a smile on our face and in good shape we'll be OK." After practicing twice on both Tuesday and Wednesday, the Bucks practiced once on Thursday but much of it involved full-court activity. The Bucks scrimmaged full-court with referees for the first time on Thursday and the coaches didn't hesitate to point out mistakes or lackadaisical play. "The assistant coaches and coach Skiles will get ... Source: blogs.jsonline.com --- 2 days ago
Detroit Pistons asst. coach Dave Cowens is one person who knows something about playing center in the National Basketball Association. After all, he is a hall-of-famer and one of the NBA's 50 greatest players of all time so it seemed fitting during the Bucks' visit to Detroit on Wednesday to ask Cowens about the progress being made in the league by Bucks center Andrew Bogut. "He's a pretty skilled guy," said Cowens who played for the Bucks in 1982-'83 before retiring. "He's certainly got the size. He's already been tested so he's tough enough. He gets after it. He's a good shooter and a good passer. He's got nice hands and he seems to understand the game. He's been coached well. If you don't pay attention to him, he can hurt you." But, added Cowens, a players' rate of development can sometimes depend on what system he is playing under in and he used himself as an example coming out of Florida State and being drafted by the Celtics in 1970. "Some of it is playing with the right people in the right system," said Cowens. "That can change things for you. If I had gone to another place out of college that wasn't Boston and they would have run a different offense and I would have played with different guys, my career probably would have been a bit different. "If you're not a guard or a dominant player, you sort of play off of people and that's what he does. You play within a system and take advatange of the things you can take advant ... St. Francis - Andrew Bogut said he could feel his left side going numb, and suddenly his hands were sweaty. He knew the signs well enough. Another migraine headache was on its way, less than an hour before the Bucks were to tip off their exhibition season Monday night. On Tuesday, Bogut was back at practice and feeling much better, although he still had a slight headache. He accompanied the Bucks on their trip to Detroit and expected to be back in the lineup against the Pistons on Wednesday night. "I could get two in a week or I could get two in a year; it's that random," Bogut said of the severe headaches. "I haven't had one for about six months. Sometimes I think a little bit of stress brings it on. Doctors say to avoid cheese, caffeine, coffee, soda. By the end of the list, you can't eat or drink anything." Bogut said he believes the headaches may stem from a childhood incident, when he rammed his head on the top of a picket fence. "When I was about 11, I still remember it to this day," Bogut said. "I cut myself open on a fence. I've gotten them ever since then. I was playing football outside and bent over to pick up the football, and it was getting dark, and I smacked my head right on it." Bogut also said today he had ended an agreement with personal trainer Sinisa Markovic, who had worked with the Bucks center the past two years. The two have known each other since Bogut was 15, and Markovic was in Milwaukee for the first we ... Source: ballhype.com --- 22 days ago

I like him the most of all the Mil players this year. I am predicting that RJ and Redd cut into each others production on some level. Bogut is the only low post option and the best defensive player on the team.
