On Monday, the Cincinnati Bengals announced that they've signed Eric Henderson to the team's practice squad. Henderson is one of those guys that represents a ton of potential, but injuries continue to stall any progress. For a time, it appeared that Henderson would make the 2007 squad as a pass-rushing outside linebacker, but broke a bone in his right wrist and landed on IR for the season. Henderson worked mostly as a defensive end throughout minicamps and training camp this year. The Bengals have two more spots to fill for their practice squad. The Bengals terminated the contract of Michael Myers and placed Dan Santucci on Injured Reserve to make room. From a Bengals press released ( via Curnutte's blog ): -- Acquired G Frank Davis on waivers from Detroit. (Davis 6-3, 325; South Florida) is a third-year NFL player. He played in 11 games with three starts in 2006, after making the Lions roster as a college free agent. He was on the Reserve/Injured list last season, due to a knee injury suffered in preseason, but he came back this year to play in all four Lions preseason games, with two starts at LG. -- Acquired DT Orien Harris on waivers from New Orleans. (Harris 6-3, 300; Miami-Fla.) played in all four Saints preseason games and led the team with 20 tackles, including a sack. He has two prior seasons in the NFL, but does not yet have an accrued year toward free agency, and is classified a first-year player. He entered the NFL in 2006 as a fourth-round draft choice of Pittsburgh and played in two games for Cleveland after being signed off the Steelers practice squad. Last season, he was on Buffalo’s practice squad before being signed to the Saints roster, where he was inactive for two games. Seattle’s reality TV lovers are loving life right now. Along with Blayne on Project Runway , we can add a hopeful on America's Next Top Model to our cadre of locals to root for (or laugh at, depending on your feelings for Blayne): Elina. We agree with Seattlest Katelyn's first blush reaction to Elina . She's "weird and pretty enough to have made it through the first double-episode, and Elina smiles with her eyes!". We'd like to add a few thoughts of our own about her too. Because she's only 18, Elina’s got free rein to be as ridiculous as possible, something most of the Seattleites on ANTM have lacked. To wit: This one is a vegan animal-liberation activist, who prefers to wear pants at all times because they are not gender-specific. She also wouldn't affirm or deny that she's a lesbian, opting instead to say that she just likes who she likes, sex be damned. Whatever happens on ANTM, we think this girl has a future ahead of her on reality TV. Too bad her plan to meet someone on the show is not going to do much for her chances. At least it improves our chances for some cheap titillation when she does get to play some tonsil hockey with the smokin' hot (though deplorably closed-minded) Clark . We agree with Seattlest Katelyn that Elina does look more like Bjork than Angelina Jolie—a positive in our mind—and she takes pretty damn good pictures , so we think she is going to stick around for awhile. We're not convinced she'll make it to ...
