At a reception in St. Paul on Wednesday for Catholic Republicans, Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) — a fierce opponent of abortion — said that he is “very concerned that many of our schools and universities have lost their way.” They have become “bastions of moral relativism and moral compromise with the culture of death.” As [...] ... Haven’t had much time to write of late since the pressure is on for more formal writing assignments. But, in prep for a presentation in a few weeks I have been thinking about this question. Is the Biblical counseling model of change too much focused on truth? Heretical thought for some I’m sure. (For those [...] ... Source: www.paxchristimetrodc.org --- 16 hours ago
By Art Laffin Praise God our Creator, Source of all life. I will sing praise to God as long as I live. Do not put your trust in princes and presidents, in mortals, in whom there is no salvation. When they die they, too, return to earth; on that very day their plans perish. Happy are those whose hope is in the [...] ... Source: aacc.net --- 4 days ago

a) The people of Israel would be scattered from their land because of their wickedness. Lev 26:33 And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste. b) They would wander the world pursued by their enemies. Deu 28:65-67 And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the LORD will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul. (66) Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life. (67) In the morning you shall say, 'If only it were evening!' and at evening you shall say, 'If only it were morning!' because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and the sights that your eyes shall see. c) Though persecuted the people of Israel would preserve there identity in the lands of their captivity. Jer 30:11 For I am with you to save you, declares the LORD; I will make a full end of all the nations among whom I scattered you, but of you I will not make a full end. I will discipline you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished. d) They would become a proverb and a by-word. Deu 28:37 And you shall become a horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the LORD will lead you away. e) People would say that the reason that Israel was scattered was because the ... While everyone was going on about barramundigate something happened. Another NSWelshman with no real performances behind him leap frogged several hopefuls and made it to the Australian squad. Moises Enriques is his name. He is the new Shane Watson, except made of oak, not ply wood. So get used to his name. This time he was probably picked because he was the highest rated of the academy kids. All the A boys in India, and probably every other Australian cricketer in England, he was one of the few left. With a List A batting average of 18 and a bowling average of 50 it still must annoy some other domestic players. Some of whom may have even considered coming home from some Lancashire league type thing just to train with the national team. The selectors however probably thought that as he was already up north it was easier. The reason this is a big deal, has less to do with him being Portugese, and more because the selectors have been itching to get him in there. Moises is very much a product of the NSWales brown bag soceity, when he was a rookie at the Speedblitz blues Trevor Hohns was already kissing his knuckles and licking out his toe sweat. I think they boy is promising, but my question is, would he have got the same golden treatment if he was from Western Australia or Victoria? If he can really play, then I am all for him, but if we have to play him for 5 years like we did for Shane Watson, because of our Keith Miller syndrome, then ...
