Four years have passed since the release of 2004's "Blood And Belief". The BLAZE BAYLEY band has gone through countless line-up changes, label switches, a name change, and now BLAZE himself is the only original member in the midst of a line-up comprised of total unknowns. Musically, this album is an intense return to form and features more intense guitar playing, dynamic vocals, and a subtle thrash metal influence in its delivery. Lyrically, BLAZE has been fueled by the last few years of turbulence and brings us his most powerful and personal lyrical themes yet. In short, the Silicon Messiah is back! The Man Who Would Not Die: Appropriately, the album starts with one of its harshest songs. The introduction comes in with thrashing guitar harmonies and pounding drums in the background, the verses keep the energy flowing and throw in some charismatic though slightly strained vocals, the chorus slows the song down and offers sweet double bass drumming and a catchy refrain, the solo section features some cool guitar trade-offs and a few tempo changes, and the song's final chorus brings out one last burst of speed.
