Maricarrol Kueter, a South Dakota native who has been the managing editor of the Argus Leader since 2003, was named executive editor of the media company Friday. Kueter replaces Randell Beck, who became president and publisher Aug. 6, when Arnold Garson was named president and publisher of the Louisville, Ky., Courier-Journal.
