Kernan is out here in Anaheim for the Red Sox-Angels series, far away from chill of the Northeast. In the continuing Ballpark Tours series, here's a look at Angel Stadium. Get here, whenever you can and if you have little ones, this is the place. And if you like to look at beautiful people, this is the place. Just walked completely around the grandstand and it's a beautiful walk. The concourse is wide and filled with concession stands, and you can get all types of Food. It's ballpark Food but it's still decent. What's really amazing about this place is all the flowers. There are flowers everywhere. Behind the rocks in centerfield are big planters with small palm trees in the center surrounded by large yellow marigolds. The flowers are as big as baseballs and surprisingly they are all intact. In many parks the flowers would be ripped from their stems and thrown as baseballs. The fans are civilized here. Beyond the rocks is a neat little display called Little League Days. It includes cute as a button huge pictures of many Angels when they were in Little League, including Chone Figgins. What's really neat is that it also includes the players' fav kid meals. Figgins was his Grandma's Pineapple Upside-Down Cake. Young Jared Weaver actually played on a Little League Angels team in Simi Valley, Cal. Randolph County Old Settlers Reunion and Fall Fair is set for Thursday-Saturday  in Huntsville with the theme of “Celebrating Past Friendships.” Rules for exhibits include: Exhibits for entry must be  entered between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in Trask Hall, behind Huntsville Baptist Church. Exhibits must be picked up between 11 a.m. and noon on Saturday. All exhibits not picked by noon on Saturday  will be left at the church. Daily Random Recipe INGREDIENTS: 4 ounces / 1 cup self-raising flour 2 ounces / 4 tablespoons cornflour Pinch of salt 8 ounces / 1 cup soft brown castor sugar 1 x 200 gram / 7 ounce block of tofu 8 fluid ounces / 1 cup soy milk 2 heaped tablespoons chickpea flour 4 fluid ounces / 1/2 cup oil 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon vanilla extract METHOD: Place the tofu, sugar, gram flour, oil, vanilla and lemon juice into a blender and blend well. Add the soya milk gradually. Transfer to a large bowl and fold in the flour. Spoon into a greased 9 inch / 23 centimeter Cake tin (the sort with a detachable bases and loosenable side is best) and bake for 45 mins at gas mark 4 / 180C / 350F until golden and firm to the touch. Cool in the tin. NOTES: Please note that I have not attempted this recipe so it will almost certainly need tweaking. According to my Cake encyclopedia, Angel Food Cake is a sponge Cake with a lot of cornflour in it and hardly any flour. It also contains lots of eggs (10, in my recipe!), a little lemon juice and vanilla. As the egg content in this Cake is so preposterously high, veganising this Cake will be difficult. Simply substituting oil for the egg will not work. If I was going to make it, I would try the above. ...

Alice Grayson was to bake a Cake for the Baptist Church Ladies ' Group in Tuscaloosa , but forgot to do it until the last minute. She remembered the; morning of the bake sale and after rummaging through cabinets, found an Angel Food Cake mix & quickly made it while drying her hair, dressing, & helping her son pack for Scout camp. When Alice took the Cake from the oven, the center had dropped flat and the Cake was horribly disfigured. She thought, 'Oh dear, there is not time to bake another Cake.' This Cake was important to Alice because she did so want to fit in at her new church and in her new community of friends.
