Oracle is buying SOA management and governance ISV AmberPoint on undisclosed terms. AmberPoint, Oracle’s first acquisition since the great Sun takeover a couple of weeks ago, is ironically run by ex-Sun folk, who got to Sun via its Forte Software acquisition. The deal should close this half and the widgetry added to Oracle’s Fusion Middleware SOA Management Solutions. Oracle on Feb 8, 2010 announced that it has agreed to acquire AmberPoint , SOA Management, Business Transaction Management and run-time Governance software.
