The 56-year-old, who was confined to a wheelchair having had toes amputated due to gangrene, was found dead at 2pm, having had his throat cut. When one of his carers came to my door in tears I got dressed quickly and rushed downstairs. I saw him lying on the floor and he wasnt breathing. It was clear nothing else could be done for him. Daha Mohammed, 51, also of Abbotts Close, was charged with the murder of Mr Greenaway and was due to appear at Bexley Magistrates Court today. He was described by his sister as resembling Jesus . The 53-year-old mother-of-five added: He was so genuine. He was the nicest person. He would give you the last pound in his pocket. He was so lovely. He really reminded me of Jesus. My kids used to say thats Jesus isnt it? She went on to say she was heartbroken over how Mr Greenway - affectionately known as Coke by family and friends after his father found him eating coke fuel from the coal shed as a child died. Ms Greenway also thanked neighbours who posted online tributes praising her brother as kind and without a "bad bone in his body". ROMPA! ...

The MLA for Delta South says that the much maligned $25 a month wheelchair fees for seniors in public care homes is really the tip of the iceberg. Vicki Huntington says she's spoken with sources at Fraser Health who tell her that as of the start of September, mobility challenged seniors are going to have to part with a hundred bucks a month to get around. "Existing residents as of September 1st can rent a Fraser Health wheelchair for 25 dollars, but after September the 1st, if you're a new resident, you have to rent from a private vendor, which means 70 to 100 dollars, and he said yes, that's correct." Huntington says existing residents, proving financial hardship will still pay the 25-dollar a month fee. But Fraser Health says this is all a big misunderstanding, and Huntington has her facts wrong. Fraser Health spokeswoman Tasleem Juma says while new and existing residents will have the option of privately renting or buying, paying that 25 dollar a month fee for a Fraser Health wheelchair will still be an option. "If you are unable to purchase or rent a wheelchair from a third-party vendor, and need one that's being lent to you by Fraser Health, then the 25 dollar fee applies, whether you are a new resident or an existing resident is irrelevant." By News staff SOMERSET, Mass. -- Somerset Police and Massachusetts State Police are searching for a driver they say hit a wheelchair-bound man near the intersection of Read Street and Southway Drive late Friday evening and then took off. Investigators say James Moore, 65, of P73 Murphy VIllage was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead around 1 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle involved is believed to be a dark silver late model Toyota (2000-2004), possibly a Corolla, the police said. The vehicle involved sustained front passenger side damage, including to the right headlight area. Somerset Police Chief Joseph C. Ferreira described Moore as a kind person who was well known throughout the town. "Just a couple of weeks ago, he drove his wheelchair to a town meeting. He sought me out and let me know that he purposely came to the meeting to support the police," Ferreira said. The police helped him get home when the meeting ended at 11 p.m. Somerset Police and Massachusetts State Police are jointly investigating the incident.
