Oakland Tucked Again: Oakland Athletics Stolen Home Run Reminiscent to Tuck Rule

Source: www.rantsports.com --- Thursday, May 09, 2013
<img src="http://www.rantsports.com/mlb/files/2013/05/bob-melvin.jpg" & width="150" & height="84" style="margin: 5pt 10px 0px 0px; float: left;" border="1" align="left" alt="" />David Richard-US Presswire Adam Rosales was supposed to have been the ninth-inning hero for the Oakland Athletics after hitting a two-out bomb to deep left field, but MLB umpire Angel Hernandez made a horrendous call that stole the game away from the A’s. Oakland fans are all too familiar with getting robbed in key games. The infamous fumble by Tom Brady over a decade ago that was overturned by referees, for instance — the tuck rule led to the fall of the Oakland Raiders . Yeah, the tuck rule was far worse because it was in a playoff game, but this robbery in Cleveland is just opening old wounds for fans in the east bay. How on earth can Bud Selig let a terrible decision like this stand? Admitting that Hernandez made a bad call means nothing to the A’s and their fans. Selig needs to suspend Hernandez and his crew for a few games to show that umpires are not immune to baseball suspensions. If Selig really wanted to make amends, he should have made the teams replay the game starting in the ninth inning with two outs. At the end of the day, its Oakland fans who have g ...
