Niall Horan has admitted that whenever the One Direction tour bus was being designed, the manufacturers perhaps didn’t think about how tall he and his bandmates were going to be. The Irish star has been busy relaxing on board their travelling home this afternoon, as he prepares for the band’s gig in Nashville this evening, but apparently he just can’t get comfortable. Niall tweeted: “Tried t stretch in my bunk! And nearly put my foot through the bottom hahaha” However, according to some fans who have been camping out outside the band’s hotel, the ‘Little Things’ singer reportedly decided to sleep on board the bus and not in a plush room last night. It doesn’t surprise us really, after all Nialler once admitted: “I prefer staying on the tourbus than a hotel, we get clean socks and underwear everyday.” The lads performed to a sell out crowd in Columbus last night, and it seems they brought the craic to the stage and in the video below you can see Liam Payne lounging at the front of the stage, while the rest of the boys answer fans’ Twitter questions. We don’t know what’s happening at the beginning of the video, but Louis Tomlinson is definitely giving him CPR for some reason. This past week on the road seemed like at least a month. The bus on the road is a grind that I left back in 2007. Stepping onto it again was an interesting blast from the past and ironically the very same top bunk I slept in was left for me right in the back. The standard logic on a tour bus is that it’s safest to sleep on the bottom just in case the bus happens to roll. But, if you are the last one on the bus, you are left with the top bunk. I learned to like it up here, you know, life on the edge. I’m back in LA this week while my client is here. I’m at home and even though I’ve been in a hurry, I wanted to try some new stuff as we are in to proper food combining and all that good stuff. I came up with this. Lentil Quinoa Cabbage Rolls with Carrot Ginger Sauce: 2 tablespoons grape seed oil ½ cup leeks, sliced 2 cups cooked lentils ½ cup cooked quinoa 1 tablespoon fresh sage 1 tablespoon fresh basil sea salt to taste black pepper to taste 1 green cabbage For carrot sauce: 1 cup carrots sliced 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled sliced ¼ cup onion sliced 2 cups veg stock or water 2 tablespoons olive oil salt to taste Step one : The filling In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil until hot and shimmering. Add leeks and sauté 2-3 minutes. Add herbs, sauté for one minute. Add lentils and quinoa, mix well. Reduce heat to medium and allow to sate for four minutes. Remove from heat. A group of nuns began their 6,500-mile bus journey late last month in New Jersey with a view of Ellis Island. Since then, their brightly-decorated blue bus with images of hands raised — to show support for families and immigration reform — has rolled for more than 5,000 miles down Eastern Seaboard roads and into the South. This week marks the California leg of the “Nuns on the bus” tour supported by NETWORK, a national Catholic social justice group. The nuns’ goal during this 15-state, 40-city whirlwind event which ends on June 18: “Standing with immigrants, faith-filled activists, and Catholic Sisters who serve immigrant communities.” Last Wednesday, the nuns were scheduled to speak with community groups in Nogales, Arizona and federal lawmakers in Phoenix. After the meeting with government leaders in Phoenix, they joined immigration groups to discuss the tour, the importance of family unity and citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country, organizers said.
