According to Japan Atomic Energy Agency, their remote controlling helicopter crashed after monitoring radiation level in 5km area from Fukushima nuclear plant . The accident time was 10:10 AM of 6/9/2013. The helicopter fell down on the fallow field at 300 m east from Futaba town hall, where is in 12km south from Fukushima nuclear plant. Japan Atomic Energy Agency states they mis-handled when they switch from automatic operation to manual operation. They were outsourced by nuclear regulatory agency to measure the radiation level. AMARILLO, Texas (AP) — Pantex — the country's only nuclear weapons assembly and disassembly plant — has completed main construction on a $35 million project that will beef up fire protection at the facility. The Amarillo Globe-News reports ( http://bit.ly/124JgVt ) the new construction comes after a congressional nuclear watchdog agency had raised safety concerns earlier this year about an aging fire protection system at Pantex. The Defense nuclear Facilities Safety Board had said failures in the fire protection system pose risks to workers and to public health. John Woolery, general manager for B&W Pantex, the plant contractor, says the company is committed to upgrading aging facilities and maintaining the safety of its employees.
