Hello, all, I am thinking of getting a new Bluetooth portable speaker (e.g. Jawbone Big Jambox) for the beach. The issue I have is that my iPod Classic is not Bluetooth enabled. I want to have local (vs. internet) access to all of my music, and my collection is large (120gb) and growing. So, I am considering a few options: - iPod Classic-to-3.5MM connector to connect iPod Classic to the BT portable speaker - iPod Classic with Bluetooth A2DP transmitter to BT speaker - Portable, durable (water-resistant) laptop with bluetooth to BT speaker Assuming I am using the same speaker, would the sound quality be the same for all of these options? If not, which would be better or worse and why might that be? BTW, I want a BT speaker because I also want to be able to use it with my smartphone wirelessly, so I am definitely not considering a portable speaker that only has an iPod dock (no BT). Also, I am not considering iTouches or the like because their storage capacity is too small for me. Last, I don't want to rely on cloud storage, as I go to places that often don't have internet and I don't want to pay yet another provider for internet. Thanks! ...

hey guys, I'm trying to copy the contents (music, playlists, playcounts, etc..) from my 6th Gen iPod classic to the 7th Gen iPod classic.. I tried following previous posts and copied the entire ipod_control folder and reseting the iPod but it still shows that I have no music in the iPod. I suspect its because they are different gen ipods but dos anyone know how I could successfully clone my older iPod onto the new one? Thanks! ...

Having just bought a 2012 Freelander 2 XS, I want to play my Apple iPod through the car's speakers. At L/Rover today they say they do not do a jack plug lead (even though there is a female 3.5mm hole near the handbrake. Go to Maplins they said, pay £6 and Bob's your uncle. Bought it, only to find I have no control through the radio or steering wheel buttons. This particular jack fit's into the car whilst the other end fit's into the headphone socket of the iPod. With the police being so hot here in the UK with Phone user's, I find I am in the same boat - having to control the iPod each and every time I want to change tracks. Q: Is anyone aware of a lead that will fit and allow control via the car's controls ...
