Water Levels on the Neebing River are rising THUNDER BAY – flooding across the region is impacting homes and families. The City of Thunder Bay is on top of the situation to the best of its ability. Police, Fire Rescue and Public Works are on duty. Throughout the day, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue has been on duty attending calls. Environment Canada updated the Rainfall Warning at 15:00EDT for Thunder Bay. ‘Another 20 to 40 mm of rain likely by Tuesday morning. As of 2 PM EDT 71.6 mm of rain have been reported at Atikokan and it is still raining. About 56 mm of rain has fallen over Thunder Bay. Thunderstorms are possible in the rain bands and may contribute to give locally higher rainfall amounts. Another 20 to 40 mm of rain is expected by Tuesday morning and storm totals will be in the 60 to 90 mm range across the warned areas”.
