Microsoft and Google have put aside their differences and agreed to work together to finally give WIndows Phone users an official YouTube app. Microsoft had incurred Google's wrath by launching its own YouTube app which did not serve advertisements, leading the search giant to demand its removal. Microsoft responded by saying it would be happy to work with Google, but cannot add advertisements without the company's technical know-how. Earlier today, Microsoft sent out a brief email, which is credited as a joint statement from Microsoft and YouTube, concerning the status of Microsoft's latest WIndows Phone YouTube app. We have posted that statement below in full: Microsoft and YouTube are working together to update the new YouTube for WIndows Phone app to enable compliance with YouTube’s API terms of service, including enabling ads, in the coming weeks. Microsoft will replace the existing YouTube app in WIndows Phone Store with the previous version during this time. If you have been keeping up on this story, you know that Microsoft's 2.0 version of the YouTube app, launched on May 7th, did not display Google's ads. About a week later, Google sent Microsoft a cease and desist letter, demanding that the downloads for the app be halted, as Google felt the app was violating the terms of YouTube's API. Microsoft replied they would be happy to put in ads, if Google would allow full access to the YouTube APIs for their WIndows Phone app. Today's new statement would seem to be a compromise for both parties, with Microsoft pulling the new YouTube app and Google seemingly now prepared to offer access to the full API set for YouTube so that Microsoft can create an app that complies with Google's rules. I'm running into this issue that seems to be very specific to WIndows 8 and 64-bit calibre. 64-bit runs fine on my WIndows 7 machines, and 32-bit runs fine on my WIndows 8 machines. But when I try to run 64-bit on my WIndows 8 machine, it crashes. I can force the crash immediately by attempting to convert a book, or I can just sit and wait for it to crash. Hi Guys, My parents Toshiba Satellite Z830 has failed and won't boot into WIndows 7 properly, it starts loading and gets stuck on a black screen, the mouse cursor works for a while but eventually freezes or BSoD. It's been a while since I've tried recovering a machine so I assume there are better tools available now... We have an external USB CDROM and USB memory stick to load recovery tools. 1) Does anyone know if Z830 shipped with recovery disks?
