Source: forums.comicbookresources.com --- Wednesday, May 22, 2013
Wow. I actually feel bad for the twins now. Kang's a dick, through and through. CJ: it looks like you got your wish for Steve and Wanda...in an alternate reality. Kinda. :/ This issue was just depressing. Alex has abandoned his "call me Alex" moniker in this reality, going only by Havok. The training lesson for the twins has fatal results for he and his bride, Rogue. It's not my favorite issue thus far, but it was a solid read. Remender is clearly listening to the online debates and addresses them here, with varying success. There's not enough Wanda for my liking, but Steve and Alex both have brilliant showings! :D ...

Who Avenges the Avengers?: Uncanny X-Men #3 Review

Source: www.hypergeeky.com --- Tuesday, May 21, 2013
<img src="http://www.hypergeeky.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Uncanny-X-Men-3-Cover-195x300.png" & width="150" & height="231" style="margin: 5pt 10px 0px 0px; float: left;" border="1" align="left" alt="" />Marvel Last issue left off with the Avengers ambushing Cyclops’ X-Men team in Australia. Magneto, working as a mole, gave up information on the X-Men’s whereabouts, giving the Avengers the opportunity they’ve been looking for to apprehend the mutant criminals, Scott Summers and Emma Frost. It was a spontaneous trip for Summers and crew, and what started as a reunion between new recruit Eva Bell and her mother, turns into a tense — but mostly peaceful — showdown between Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Strangest Heroes of Them All. Both sides state their case with Summers and Frost blaming the Avengers for the Phoenix splitting into five parts and possessing them. The Avengers, on the other hand, want to bring in the man who killed Professor Xavier. Neither side is willing to budge, and it’s pretty clear now that thick lines have been drawn in the sand by the leaders of both factions. Similar to how previous meetings have gone between the Avengers and Team Cyclops, diplomacy is replaced by force, and the Avengers attack. Or they try to. Marvel Eva Bell — a flashback shows her talking to her class about her favorite hero, Captain America — creates a time bubble that stops the Avengers in their tracks, giving Cyclops a photo opp and a chance to do some commentary, inviting mutants to join him in the fight for survival, thanking the human supporters, and sending out a threat to anyone who would attack mutants. Marvel The issue shifts ...

What about Uncanny Avengers? I'm not really feeling it, and all the characters are really unlikeable, but I like the story with the Apocalypse Twins

Source: comicbookwomen.tumblr.com --- Tuesday, May 21, 2013
I lost interest in Uncanny Avengers a couple issues in. I agree about the characters and that whole speech by Alex was stupid. Yeah-lets get a pretty blond hair blue eyed mutant who could go in 7-11 easily if he was not a known mutant up on a podium talking about mutant culture. I could tell that Remender does not know anything about how groups of people look at themselves. Like-in this case it reminds me of light skin vs. dark skin. Light skin black people are more accepted but darker skin blacks are more rejected. To me that whole speech reminded me of this. Though I’m sure other groups of people have similar arguments (gay rights activists who are transphobs for example). Also how some of those people were defending that scene by mentioning something Morgan Freeman said about being black years ago, was annoying. To paraphrase Token from South Park in THAT N****R GUY episode “Morgan Freeman is not the King of Black People.” ...
