last weekend branden ended up having to work all day saturday and all day sunday which ended up forcing us to cancel our mother's day plans (we were all set for a night away..bummer). anyway, this last saturday we had a make-up mother's day. we made our way into the park-with plans to take the boats out of the boathouse. halfway there, we promptly realized we had no cash (oops). and i'm not so quick anymore so turning around to walk back to grab cash, then walk out again wasn't an option. but funny enough, neither one of us cared too much. it was more about being together and being able to relax. for branden, chasing around the little guy was a break. and for me, NOT chasing around the little guy was a break (!). we found some azaleas, ran around bethesda fountain (okay, the smallest one of us ran around bethesda fountain) and made a final stop at the central park petting zoo. (best membership i have ever bought. so worth it) we finished up the day with a delicious lunch at ditch plains (and even picked up an extra friend of hugo's to join us!). best part of the whole day? being all together as a family. it's only going to be the three of us for a few more weeks. i got to just watch my two boys play, take pictures, and laugh at the two of them. i loved it. these two... love them. (and a few more pictures from the park because i can!) ...

Lawmakers in the State Senate have presented a $20.6 billion budget proposal . It would spend slightly less than Governor McCrory’s plan and offers no raises for state employees. Good day my Geordie and non-Geordie homeboys and homegals. As the article title may have given away, the signups for the fifteenth European Grifball league are now open . The EUGBL is the competitive Grifball league for European-based players, based out of the EUGBL Discussion page of the GrifballHub forums, and run by co-commissioners Dat Crab and MallardQuakson. If you have a team of at least four players and you want to sign up then visit the sign-up thread and fill out the application form. A minimum of four players, including the captain, are needed to sign up, and only two of your players are allowed to be based outside of Europe. Furthermore, after a lengthy discussion, for this season the rule of no players allowed to enter both the AGLA and the EUGBL is being adhered to, so if someone currently participates in the AGLA they are ineligible for entry into the EUGBL. If you feel a player should be exempt from this rule under special circumstances, however, make sure to message one of the commissioners when you sign up. The full set of rules is listed here , and if you have any more questions feel free to message Daniel/Dat Crab or Mallard/MallardQuakson on the Hub or on Xbox Live.
