Where plenty of people find her honesty (“I write songs about my feelings” is something she actually says) grating, I think it’s endearing. So she writes songs about the boys she dated who might have been jerks to her? Isn’t that what all music is about anyway? (Flip-side: No one would care if she was a man doing all this.) I’m not even that big a fan—at least, not compared to the sky-shattering screams of the thousands of little girls and their mothers I was swallowed up by during her stop in Austin last night at the Frank Erwin Center. Chances are, if you bear a resemblance to US pop sensation TAYLOR SWIFT, you’re doing pretty well for yourself. The downside of this is that you’re going to attract a lot of unwanted attention. Such is the case of Xenna Kristian , an 18-year-old student from the UK, whose work as a Tay-Tay lookalike put her on the wrong side of her classmates, who attacked her en masse. During a lesson at Shropshire College (think UK TAFE) it’s alleged that Kristian was pulled from her chair by her ponytail and repeatedly kicked in the face. As well as some nasty looking bruising, Kristian may also have a broken jaw. The teen, who has been working as a lookalike from the beginning of the year, has since spoken about the ordeal, explaining, “They must be jealous that I’m going off to do something with my life… Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I’m still shaken.” She says the beating has also impacted her work. “I’ve had to cancel three appearances this week. If my jaw is broken I could be out of action for two months.” The dust is still yet to settle surrounding the event, with the drama finding its way online. A British college student who is a TAYLOR SWIFT lookalike claims she was assaulted in school by bullies. Xenna Kristian, 18, evidently started performing at private parties and charity events as the pop singer’s doppelganger after people apparently started coming up to her on the street and commenting about the resemblance. But things allegedly got out of hand yesterday as a result of envious classmates. According to Xenna , “Some girls at college had started making nasty comments, but it escalated really quickly. The girl came up behind me and dragged me off my chair by my pony tail, then started kicking me in the face. It just came as a complete shock.” Added Xenna: “Since I started being a lookalike people have been saying stuff. They must be jealous that I’m going off to do something with my life.” She says some friends came to her aid and stopped the fight, although teachers didn’t do anything. The TAYLOR SWIFT lookalike has had to postpone some of her gigs while she heals, however. Xenna Kristian, an aspiring actress and singer who recently signed with a talent agency, lives in Shropshire, England , with her family who run a bed and breakfast. The first wave of nominees for the fan-voted 2013 Teen Choice Awards has been revealed, and TAYLOR has earned three nods among the diverse TV, film, music, sports and fashion categories. For starters, TAYLOR is the only country-identified artist up for Choice Female Artist, where she will face her buddy Selena Gomez, as well as Demi Lovato, Pink and Rihanna. (CBS) If anyone missed Lesley Stahl's segment this weekend on 60 Minutes (though come on, how unlikely is that?), you might not have noticed that her profile of TAYLOR SWIFT, "A Young Singer's Meteoric Rise," was actually just a re-aired interview from 2011. Which is fine--Ms. Stahl tells the audience that "we first met TAYLOR SWIFT in 2011, during her Speak Now tour," and on the 60 Minutes website, they disclose "The following is a script of "TAYLOR SWIFT" which originally aired on Nov. 20, 2011 and was rebroadcast on May 19, 2013"--except that it says something about TAYLOR SWIFT's "meteoric rise" that most people would have no idea that this interview was two years old. Or that on Twitter, 60 Minutes gave no clue that this would be a rebroadcast episode. Nor did her fans seem to notice , with the exception of a few eagle-eyed viewers . (Despite the fact that in the segment she refers to herself as 21-years-old.) The segment seems to have been re-aired in conjunction with CBS' ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night , which featured Ms. SWIFT.
