NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Here's what Jim Cramer had to say on CNBC's "Squawk On The Street" Wednesday. Raymond James started Chart Industries with a buy rating. As Cramer noted, the equipment made by the company has "been very hot." GTLS closed 3% lower at $93.72 Wednesday. Cramer agrees with Barclays on Terex and said the company believes the problems in Europe has bottomed. TEX was down 2.5% at $33.85. Sodastream was downgraded by JPMorgan Chase. Cramer agreed. "They think it's gotten a little too high, and I get that," he said. Soda fell 3.8% at $62.36. With Citigroup upgrading Bristol-Myers Squibb, Cramer said the company is now being viewed as a biotech and those names "are all on fire." BMY rose 5.3% to $46.40. RBC expects Salesforce.com to beat earnings estimates. Cramer agrees, noting, "I expect an extraordinary call and I do think (CEO) Marc Benioff will beat the numbers." CRM fell 1.2% to $45.78. Meridian Pint is no longer the only place where you can find the small-batch botanical sodas with foraged ingredients from WildCraft Soda 's Nathan Zeender . Beginning this weekend, the future brewer of Shaw's Right Proper brewpub is setting up shop at the Mount Pleasant Farmers' Market every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Zeender says he'll pour four types of sodas from draft boxes. In addition to Groot Beer and the fruity-tangy Ebulon Soda (both already available at Meridian Pint), Zeender will debut two new flavors. One is a Citra-hopped lemon Soda inspired by 3 Stars Brewing Company 's Citra and lemon peel saison . The other is an amaro Soda with more than 30 botanicals dubbed "Amaro Amodeo." The name comes from collaborator Francesco Amodeo of Don Ciccio & Figli , a local limoncello and liqueur producer, who supplied Zeender with an old family recipe. Michael Bloomberg has a new ally in Texas. Who, you ask? Senator Carlos Uresti. I am being somewhat facetious, of course, but the legislature has just given final approval to a bill that would ban sugary drinks, such as Coca-Cola and Dr Pepper, from public elementary and junior high schools. HB217 completely flew under the radar. It passed the House on May 10th by an official vote of 95-44. However, a lot of members later complained that their votes were incorrectly attributed. Taking into account all of these errors, the real roll call was 92-49. All of the opposition came from Tea Party Republicans. Among the moderate Republicans voting in favor was Sarah Davis. I have heard for a while now that her close call election has moved her into the centre, and now I am really starting to see it. At press time, the journal hadn’t gone up, but this article by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram states the roll call at 24-6. I can guess who the half-dozen Senators are, but I am positive as to their political party. A few months ago, I penned an op-ed about how, by and large, Soda bans like the one in New York are silly, stupid and unneeded. However, I do see some good in this legislation. There is a big difference between a consenting adult and a little kid (14 and younger). This legislation would not apply to High School students. The bill is not especially contentious, with most beverage associations as well as Coca-Cola itself supporting it. ...

Yesterday, a California Senate Committee heard testimony on a proposal, Senate Bill 622, to place a $1.28 per-gallon tax on soft drinks in the state. (If that doesn’t sound like much, consider that the state’s tax on the roughly equal-calorie beverage beer is thirty cents per gallon .) To try to cram the idea down the throats of a hostile public–recall that two cities defeated ballot proposals for an equivalent tax last fall –activists have taken to their favorite tactics, hyperbole and bait-and-switch. Anti-Soda activists are out in force blaming the simple pleasures for Californians’ love handles and medical bills, despite little evidence that extracting more money from people’s pockets will slim them down. Indeed, a research team from Yale, Emory, and the University of Washington warned in a recent commentary that “evidence suggests caution in enacting sugar-sweetened beverage taxation legislation with a core purpose of obesity reduction.” Evidence shows that people faced with Soda taxes don’t switch to water but instead get their tasty liquid in the form of equal-calorie off-brand sodas, milks, juices , and even beer in response. Over the years, I had bookmarked many summer recipes and just like any other, my recipe-list has been overflowing with new ideas to try. Under the label – “Easy Summer Recipes”, I want to try and if they turn out right, I want to share them all with you in coming months. Are you excited just as I am? Let’s jump start this series with an easy yet delicious Soda recipe – Strawberry Balsamic Basil Soda. Enjoy and make some today! Ingredients: 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries 3/4 to 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (amount varies depending on how sweet or tart the strawberries are and how much vinegar you prefer) 2 cups club Soda or sparkling water For Basil Syrup - 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely minced Preparation: 1. To make the basil syrup, combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer while stirring frequently for about a minute, and then remove from heat.
