Droid-Life had access to an “.ini file pulled from leaked Motorola USB drivers” which revealed that the XT1058 – an unannounced Motorola handset spotted at the FCC and in benchmarks, and believed to be a Google X Phone candidate – may have a CDMA brother, the XT1060: //////////////////////////// This is for RSD app to create correct phone model class [MODEL] WIFI = f100,mz604,xoom,mz615,mz615-16,mz615-32,mz615-64,mz607,mz607-16,mz607-32,mz602 STEUMTS = mb865,me865 MSM6X55UMTS = mb632,xt605,xt626,xt621 MSM6X55CDMA = xt603 MSM8960CDMA = xt926,xt897,xt907,xt901,xt1060 MSM8960UMTS = mb886,xt923,xt925,xt905,201m,xt1058 IMC6260UMTS = xt890 //////////////////////////// Considering the similarity between the two model numbers, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume they may be different versions of the same handset. In case you were wondering, in the list above only the XT1058 and XT1060 are unannounced devices, and we did check them all. The XT1060 will apparently feature a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the “MSM8960CDMA,” while the XT1058 would offer a similar CPU. The text snippet above, clearly indicates that the XT1060 is a CDMA device, while the XT1058 is a GSM one. However, the XT1060 is yet to be confirmed. So far we have ...

Today, GSMArena is reporting that some benchmark results of the Galaxy S4 Active have surfaced that reveal it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor. Benchmarks of the US bound AT&T version were revealed on the GFXBench results database and it appears that it is neither running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, nor the Exynos 5 Octa CPU, like the Galaxy S4. It runs on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Plus processor clocked at 1.9GHz. Additionally, it retains the 1080p 5-inch Super AMOLED display as the Galaxy S4. It is also running on the latest version of Android 4.2.2. Looks like, Samsung is continuing its trend of launching numerous devices under the Galaxy S4 branding. But as usual it is cutting corners in terms of the processor tech, which means if this device is real it will not be as efficient as the Galaxy S4. ...

The company has already announced as many as six smartphones and have more incoming. One of these incoming smartphones just showed up for a photo shoot in China for us to take a look. Dubbed as Xperia UL, the smartphone has been talked about earlier in the rumours , but this is the first time that we are looking at its images. As per the previous information, the phone will pack a 5-inch 1080p display as the company flagship Xperia Z and images seem to confirm the size of the display. Other rumoured specs of the phone include quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage and 2300 mAh battery. There is still no word when we are going to see an official announcement but previous report suggests that it might reach Japan first. Source ...

Sony Xperia UL pictures and specs leaked: 5-inch display and Snapdragon 600 CPU

Source: www.androidguys.com --- Friday, May 17, 2013
<img src="http://www.androidguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/sony-xperia-ul.jpg" & width="150" & height="224" style="margin: 5pt 10px 0px 0px; float: left;" border="1" align="left" alt="" />Back in March we reported that Sony was looking to add to their Xperia line , and today we have confirmation on one of the devices. Although the Sony Xperia UL has yet to be officially unveiled, the folks over at CNMO have published the first live pictures of the phone for us all to see. The Xperia UL looks to feature a nice sized 5-inch touchscreen display and a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, as well as 2GB of RAM. On top of that, the device is also rumored to include 32GB of internal memory and a high-capacity 2,300 mAh Li-Ion battery. In the end, this is not meant to be a top-tier Andy, but a nice replacement for the Xperia Z. We’re not exactly sure if the UL will include a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera like the Xperia Z, however if you look at the images, it’s clear that it will come with an LED flash for night pictures, and a secondary front-facing camera for video calls. We still believe the Xperia UL will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but just like most rumors, there is no confirmation quite yet. As for availability, we are still hearing that it is headed to Japan, more specifically to KDDI, one of the carriers over there. Whether it will be a KDDI exclusive is still anyone’s guess. The post Sony Xperia UL pictures and specs leaked: 5-inch display and Snapdragon 600 CPU appeared first on AndroidGuys . ...
