en route to Belgrade - Belgrade, Serbia Belgrade, Serbia Where I stayed IN hotel After leaving Dubai, our flight headed north west across Iran. Whilst there are disadvantages of having a window seat, for me, the opportunity to view the world from 10,000 metres outweighs them every time, and I never tire of this extraordinary way of seeing the world's incredible geography. Crossing Iran there were vast areas of rugged rocky wilderness, snow capped peaks, and huge glacial valleys. I have included a photo, not great, but you get the idea. As we headed across Iran the huge Caucuses in Georgia came into view. Just breathtaking. Across the vast Black sea, and on to Romania, where the beautiful Danube flows in; lush fertile flats, a complete contrast to the terrain on the east side of the Black Sea. After that we passed over Bucharest and then there were huge banks of cloud, so no more views, until we broke through them and landed in cold, wet Belgrade. Our hotel has a vista of old soviet style apartment blocks, so common in this part of the world. We took a taxi into the city centre, and dashed around from one verandah to the next, trying to avoid the rain, until a street vendor sold us an expensive umbrella. You can't knock his entrepreneurial spirit! Elegant cake and coffees shops everywhere, which would have had many sitting at the outdoor tables, had the weather been fine, nevertheless, we went inside and had a lovely strawberry mi ...

The meeting participants highlighted the mutual interest in completing the project as soon as possible and confirmed that the gas pipeline construction in Serbia would start in line with the agreements reached in late 2013. In addition, the parties discussed the Russian gas export to Serbia under a long-term contract. Background In 2012 Gazprom Group supplied Serbia with 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas . Srbijagas is a state-owned company dealing with natural gas transmission , distribution and storage in Serbia. With a view to diversify the natural gas export routes Gazprom is implementing a project for the construction of a gas pipeline running under the Black Sea to the countries of Southern and Central Europe – the South Stream project.
