A day after Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies shot and killed a woman inside a Costco in Sterling, there are many questions about what happened. The woman, who has two children 12 and 8 years old, was handing out pizza samples when authorities say she snapped Wednesday afternoon. The Costco was back open Thursday after the woman was shot dead after she seemed to come unraveled while handing out pizza samples in the back of the store. Costco declined comment, but customers have a lot of questions. "What surprised me is that the Taser didn't bring her down," says Charlene Hibson, a customer. "That was amazing, and so I wonder if there wasn't something else going on with her." "The number of shots it sounds like were fired leaves a question in my mind," says Gerald Bazemore, a customer. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office was also not talking today, saying only that it's investigating. They are reviewing surveillance video. Deputies responded around 3 p.m. to a call of a woman, later identified as 38-year-old Mhai Scott of Sterling, acting threateningly. Loudoun County Sheriff Michael Chapman said Scott came at them wielding a knife and scissors. One deputy Tasered her, but she kept coming, they said, so another deputy fired several shots, killing Scott, as terrified customers scrambled for cover.
