Oh, you won’t find the Ravens’ superstar playing shuffleboard in a retirement home. No, RAY LEWIS has announced that he plans to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. LEWIS tweeted on Thursday that he would try to tackle the mountain. In one month, he’ll leave for Tanzania, and he’ll be doing so to money for clean water projects in East Africa. “I am so FIRED UP for this adventure, but until then, I need your help to bring clean water wells to thousands of children and families,” LEWIS said on a LockerDome online posting . He encouraged fans to support the cause by re-tweeting his feat and by donating $10 to TackleKili . Once they re-tweet, fans are entered into a contest to win LEWIS’ signed helmet. According to Kilimanjaro National Park, only 41 percent of those who try actually reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. The highest mountain in Africa stands at 19,341 feet above sea level. In case you were wondering – people do die trying every year. Fans U know 1st- Tackling Kilimanjaro 2 bring clean H2O to kids in Africa.
How will Baltimore move on from the Ray Lewis and Ed Reed era?

Source: boards.baltimoreravens.com --- Wednesday, May 22, 2013
Analyst still believe that now that 52 and 20 are no longer with the team, the Ravens will finally come undone and will falter this season. Here is a quote from Jason Smith, analyst for NFL.Com: " Ravens will find life tough without Reed and LEWIS This season, the Ravens will find out who's irreplaceable . Forget about finding another RAY LEWIS AND Ed Reed in a minute, because in fact they won't be here in a minute. Or ever. You're talking about two of the best players in the history of the game at the linebacker and safety positions, respectively, and while they both slowed down in recent years, LEWIS' retirement and Reed's departure via free agency easily qualify as the biggest losses any team suffered in the offseason. Until the very end, LEWIS and Reed were putting the teeth in Baltimore's defense, and they still influenced games in big moments, as when Reed personally saved approximately 11 points with various individual efforts in Super Bowl XLVII . Every offense still had to account for both players prior to every snap. Now, when any quarterback playing Baltimore looks across the line, he won't see Reed and LEWIS in his field of vision -- and his confidence meter should rise. The image of the Ravens ' defense as the biggest, baddest unit in the game has disappeared. Teams will attack them more frequently, and let's face it -- offenses will play "faster" against them than they ever have. To the left, to the left ...

Source: www.yardbarker.com --- Friday, April 26, 2013
The Baltimore Ravens drafted Kansas State linebacker Arthur Brown in the second round of this year’s NFL draft. The Ravens will look for Brown to come in and play middle linebacker. He may have a chance to start in 2013 in an attempt to fill RAY LEWIS’ shoes. Also Rolando McClain may not be around much longer after his latest run in with the police. Need NFL Tickets? In those mocks he was even sometimes ahead of one Manti Te’o due to his better lateral speed. As we were exposed to his tape, Brown made his arbitrary April rise, and now he joins Matt Elam in Baltimore during an infusion of youth at core defensive positions formerly paroled by beloved veterans. ...
