Germinator and Pinball Arcade are This Weeks PlayStation Plus Games

Source: www.justpushstart.com --- Monday, May 20, 2013
While most of you are still enjoying Sleeping Dogs from earlier this month, this weeks free Playstation Plus games will be Germinator and Pinball Arcade (cross buy). For those of you that haven’t heard of Germinator, it’s a match three puzzle game, except it has some unique twists to mix it up, where as Pinball Arcade is your standard digital pinball game. Since that only leaves one game left, the amazing fighting game Blazblue (Vita) will be free next week, which I strongly suggest to anyone even remotely interested in fighting games, though be warned that it’s the largest known Vita game at the moment. If this weeks offerings don’t wow you, Sony is having a fairly large sale, which has a little of everything. First things first, the Metro: Last Light season pass will be avaiable this week for $14.99, though Plus members can score it for $11.24 or 25% off. We also have Darkstalkers Resurrection + Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo combo pack for sale, which will run normal members $15 dollars or $10.49 for Plus members. Finally Men’s Room Mayhem launches this week for $1.39 or $.97 with Plus. Despite these being some rather solid deals, these are actually not the aforementioned large sale, which you can find detailed below. Ultimate Deals Assassin’s Creed III – Ultimate Edition - $87.93, Sale Price $69.99, Plus Price $62.99 Batman: Arkham City – Ultimate Edition - $57.95, Sale Price $28.99, Plus Price $23.19 Call Of Duty: Modern Warf ...

Each Ultimate Edition will come with the digital version of the game as well as any downloadable content that has been released between its release and now. To celebrate their launch, each of the first Ultimate bundles will be discounted even further. Persona 4 Arena, Arc System Works’ collaboration with Atlus based off the popular RPG series, is set to be included in this first group of ten. If you haven’t grabbed it already, you’ll be able to snag a digital copy of the game as well as all the bonus color variations, glasses, and navigation voices that were offered when the game was first released. While this would normally add up to $59.91, the Persona 4 Arena Ultimate Edition bundle will be available tomorrow at a price of $39.99, or $27.99 if you happen to be a Playstation Plus subscriber. This is definitely worth looking into if you want all the bells and whistles that have been made available for the game, but those not looking for mere aesthetic additions will probably want to steer clear. So with 2 new consoles coming out this year, I will need to make a decision between the Playstation and the Xbox. I think the PS has always been the overall favourite for me. Since back in the original Final Fantasy 7 days, I have always bought PS iterations of games first. Only in this past console generation did I finally pick up an Xbox and that was just to catch up on some of the major classics like Halo and Alan Wake. So when the first few bits of news on a new console cycle starting coming out, it almost seemed a no-brainer that I would be going back to my trusted brand. But then, things started to change. First, the reveal of the new Playstation left me a little concerned. I didn’t really seeing anything during that presentation that truly blew me away. It all definitely looked prettier, and some of the social aspects that PCs have enjoyed did seem nice, but nothing that made me say “I have to have that console.” Secondly, console purchases used to be heavily influenced by exclusives. However, with time my interest in the series has cooled off a bit and now I enjoy a much wider spectrum of video games. Additio ...

The game’s developer, Armature Studio , has revealed that Blackgate runs on a modified version of the Bluepoint Engine, which was used to create games like Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale . Both versions of the game will use the same engine, and according to Armature Studio’s technical director, Jack Mathews, neither of the two versions is a port of the other. The only dissimilarity between the two is a technological difference. The PlayStaion Vita version will have sharper graphics, whereas the Nintendo 3DS’ version will feature 3D effects. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is scheduled to launch on October 25th. Thanks, Mike.
