We have since learned that the Obama/Holder Justice Department looked over two months worth of AP phone records from 20 phone lines, including inside the Capitol building, covering 100 AP reporters and editors because the administration wanted to be the ones to break a counter terrorism story and the AP balked(after having waited at the request of the administration for national security risk/concerns to pass). During that testimony last week Eric Holder told congressman Hank Johnson(D-GA), “In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy.” That was a lie and since Eric Holder told that lie under Oath, he committed perjury which goes real nice with his contempt of Congress for not cooperating with the House’s investigation of Operation Fast and Furious. NBC News is reporting: Attorney General Eric Holder signed off on a controversial search warrant that identified Fox News reporter James Rosen as a “possible co-conspirator” in violations of the Espionage Act and authorized seizure of his private emails, a law enforcement official told NBC News on Thursday. Rosen, who has not been charged in the case, was ...

Mayor Scarcella addressed the audience of the upcoming challenges and opportunities facing Stafford over the next two years. • Transformation at Stafford MSD. The 49.9 million dollar bond project that was approved in May of 2011 will be completed this September of 2013, bringing a “very unique” situation as the district makes their mark as a top rated school. • Commuter rail. The Mayor is “still fighting the good fight 13 years later.” There will be much more on this topic as the second track is installed later this summer. • Technology weak spots. Stafford has some areas that are technologically challenged. This could be a very costly fix, but one the Mayor is determined to address. • Enhance City’s economy. Fortunately this is an area that Stafford is very strong at. However keeping this in their vision plan and attending to matters such as sustaining their Class 1 ISO rating will keep insurance costs low. • Texas Instruments’ property. Redevelopment of this 192 acres will be huge for Stafford. The Mayor stated that he has met with several developers that have the resources, knowledge and vision to create an attract ...

The 61-year old Sharma would be administered Oath of office and secrecy by President Pranab Mukherjee tomorrow. Sharma a 1976-batch Bihar cadre IAS officer is currently the Defence Secretary. Rai, who earlier drew flak from government and ruling parties for holding press conferences and interacting with media, today thanked media persons just before demitting office today. "It is because of all of you that this institution has been able to function independently. I hope you continue to extend support to the institution," he said, but did not take any questions. Sharma holds a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of York. Like Rai, Sharma too has served as Secretary in the Department of Financial Services. He has spent over 10 years in the Defence Ministry in various capacities. The CAG is appointed for a term of six years or till the incumbent attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. Sharmas appointment comes at a time when the CAG has come under sharp attack from the government for its assessment of Rs 1.76 lakh crore loss in allocation of 2G spectrum. Under Rais tenure, the CAG was accused of going beyond its auditing ambit and indulging in analysing ...
