LG Optimus L9 for MetroPCS shown off in new image leak

Source: www.phonedog.com --- Friday, May 24, 2013
<img src="http://r.phonedog.com/shared/images/2013/5/177728-optimusl9metropcs.jpg" & width="150" & height="132" style="margin: 5pt 10px 0px 0px; float: left;" border="1" align="left" alt="" />After first appearing on T-Mobile late last year, it appears that the LG Optimus L9 is now headed for Big Magenta's new subsidiary . An image has been shared by Phandroid that purportedly shows a new version of the Optimus L9 that will launch on MetroPCS. There's no MetroPCS branding to be found on the hardware, but the home screen shows Metro's Visual Voicemail app icon, just like the one found on the LG Connect 4G . The MetroPCS version of the Optimus L9 is expected to be fairly similar to the T-Mobile-flavored model. That means that we can expect a 4.5-inch qHD (960x540) touchscreen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, microSD slot and a 2,150mAh battery powering the whole package. There's no word yet on exactly how much this MetroPCS variant of the Optimus L9 will cost or when it'll launch, but it's said that an official announcement regarding its availability will be made in the coming weeks. While the Optimus L9 may not the most high-end handset ever, especially now that it's been available on T-Mobile since October 2012, it could still be a solid handset for MetroPCS customers in the market for a new smartphone that won't make their wallet cry tears of pain. Do any of you already own the T-Mobile Optimus L9? If so, how has it been treating you? Via Phandroid ...

With MetroPCS and T-Mobile now merged, T-Mobile announced late last week that it would be withdrawing the lawsuit against the FCC they acquired as part of the deal. Groups like Public Knowledge quickly issued statements applauding the move, and urging Verizon to do the same (not likely). "While they're not perfect, they reassure Internet companies that they will be able to reach users, they give ISPs a framework under which they can manage their networks, and they provide a mechanism for working out disputes," said the group. Disputes like, oh, when T-Mobile blocks Google Wallet to the benefit of their own, Isis mobile payment platform -- and the FCC does nothing about it. read comment(s) ...

I still don’t see it passing the House after Mike Enzi’s winners and losers talk poisoned the well, but conservative governors want MFA passed for good reason . Ask Scott Walker. Remember when the T-Mobile/MetroPCS deal flew through the Obama administration without a hitch? I think we now know why: it meant the end of the MetroPCS challenge to Net Neutrality . How convenient. Stealth recording technology. What could go wrong? Of course, if you don’t like Google Glass, the real thing to do is to let property owners ban it on their own property. Problem solved. I’m shocked to find out that after Anonymous declared war on Australia, that Australian censorship continues unabated . It’s almost like idiot Anarchist children don’t actually succeed at things. Which is why blackshirt scum continues to get sent to jail , where they belong. I’m also sure Barack Obama is quaking, quaking in his boots over the new Gitmo stuff by the Anontards .
