            <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="Gray"&gt;Source: blogs.edmontonjournal.com --- Sunday, May 12, 2013&lt;/font&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oilers at the Worlds: Game Six Canada beat Czech Republic 2-1 on Mother’s Day, running its winning streak to four games with the narrow victory in a hard fought affair. The Czechs outshot Canada 31-25 and were unlucky to come away without a point, as they played Canada tough as per usual. For the red maple leaf it was just their 7th win against the Czechs in the last 19 meetings between the two hockey powers. It was Mike Smith’s turn to take the crease, and the Phoenix Coyotes netminder made the most of it, earning Player of the Game honours for his second straight game with 30 saves and an assist on Jeff Skinner’s game-winner early in the third. By luck of the draw, Canada has faced much tougher opponents (Switzerland, Sweden, Czech) in their even-numbered games and Smith has responded with some strong play that likely makes him the favourite to take the crease once the medal round gets underway on Thursday. In this one he had an iffy first period with a weak goal against and a couple of puckhandling gaffes, but slammed the door shut thereafter with an excellent performance. Devan Dubnyk watched this one from the bench, while his Edmonton Oilers teammates had relatively quiet games. Taylor Hall once again found himself seated on the bench watching large chunks of action, as &lt;b&gt;Lindy&lt;/b&gt; &lt;b&gt;Ruff&lt;/b&gt; stuck to his game plan that hasn’t changed appreciably since Game One.
