Lenovo has been coming up with a lot of various ThinkPads Edge Series models and the ThinkPad T431’s in the past couple of months but now you must be keen to get your hands on new Lenovo device and tired of using the same old ThinkPad. Well the wait is over because Lenovo is back again showing its two new UltraBook designs S3 (Labatt) and S5 (Guinness), having a screen size of 13-inch and 15 inch respectively with Windows 8 OS. Rumors are that it will be launched by the end of May in China. It has come with a beautiful floating design showing off its bottom side by extended outer edges to create a slim effect. These are expected to come with either silver or black lid. Some other resources have received some teaser photos which confirm the presence of JBL stereo speakers in S5. While both S3 and S5 include an aluminum case, an island style keyboard possessing a matte display. It will be funny to hear that on one of the Chinese websites Yesky covered a charity auction that actually sold limited S3 and S5 earlier this month but stayed behind the curtains. If you are eager to get one then you might have to hold on till the end of this month since there’s a speculation that these Ultra Books S3 and S5 will be launched later in May. There’s good news for folks who’ve been waiting for Lenovo to release its first ThinkPad ultrabook with a detachable Windows 8 tablet portion. The Lenovo ThinkPad Helix is now available for purchase from Lenovo . There’s also bad news: the cheapest configuration isn’t particularly cheap at all. Prices start at $1679. For that price you get a Windows 8 tablet with an 11.6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, a capacitive touch panel and an active digitizer for pen input. It has an Intel Core i5-3427U processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB solid state disk. Lenovo is positioning the ThinkPad Helix as an ultrabook, and with the screen attached to the keyboard dock that’s pretty much what it is. It’s a thin and light notebook with a ThinkPad-style black case, a pointing stick in the center of the screen, and premium features such as 2×2 WiFi and NFC. But unlike most ultrabooks, you can use the Helix as a tablet for writing or drawing. Just don’t expect spectacular battery life from a tablet with a 42Whr battery and a Core i5 processor. Lenovo says you should be able to get up to 5 hours of battery life from the tablet alone, although that could climb as high as 10 hours when you add the keyboard dock. Lenovo also offers a $1999 model with 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7-3667U processor, and 180GB of storage. It looks like Lenovo may be preparing to launch at least two new ultrabooks. Engadget reports that the upcoming ThinkPad S3 and S5 will features 13 and 15 inch displays, respectively and could launch by the end of May in China. Both laptops feature aluminum cases, although there seem to be both silver and black options. Leaked photos also reveal the preense of JBL speakers, an island-style keyboard layout, matte displays, and not much else. It’s likely that Lenovo will have more to say about these upcoming thin and light laptops at the Computex Trade show in Taiwan next month. Lenovo’s also expected to offer these portable notebooks first in its home country of China before making them available in other regions. Starting to get bored of the ThinkPad's classic look but not keen on the Edge series? Then we have good news for you! Earlier today we received a couple of photos that show off two upcoming Lenovo Ultrabooks: the 13-inch ThinkPad S3 (codename "Labatt") and the 15-inch ThinkPad S5 ("Guinness"). As you can see above and after the break, both aluminum laptops feature a new "floating design" that might have taken a page out of Samsung and Vizio's book : shaving off the front outer edges of the bottom side to create that slim and floating illusion. Also, these will apparently come with either a black or silver lid. Some folks on Sina Weibo have received other teaser photos of the ThinkPad S5, with one confirming the presence of JBL stereo speakers. The funny thing is Chinese website Yesky reported on a charity auction that actually sold limited editions of the S3 and S5 earlier this month, but those unannounced Ultrabooks went under everyone else's radar.
